There is a certain reason why VertigoClan cats are so large, lean, and tough, and this would be it. The territory; the harsh, rocky terrain that surrounds their camp in a barren, unappealing manner. No matter, these cats are proud of their land, and will defend it with their life. The most comon prey are hawks and other mountain birds, but also snakes, mice, and shrews.

Her paws carried her into the territory from the camp entrance. She paused a little bit away from it, and stopped to lick her chest a little self-conciously. She felt one of the first warm breezes of spring go through her short carrot-red fur, and she shivered as the quick warmth ended with an icy edge. Her blue lights looked up to the sky and spotted a few clouds in the once again pale, blue sky. She looked out towards the beautiful territory, and she saw a few of the many square rocks in it. Her paws itched to walk upon them, and to stand on one of the multiple cliffs with views of the lake. She wanted to run through the trees, and climb a few of them while she did so. She wanted to bask in the warm sun that wasn't present at the moment. But, most of all, she wanted to be with her friends, make new ones, and a short thrill went through her as she thought of it. She wanted a mate. Love. She was sick of being lonely, and she wanted to remake her life. Her broken heart was ready to heal once more, and for the final time. She wanted it all. But, she didn't have too much time to spend goofing off, joking around, or flirting. She let out a quick sigh of envy of the life she desired so much, and then she turned her head back to look through the camp entrance to see if Cloverspring and Summerpath were following.

Rowanleaf padded out of camp and into the terriroty. What should he do? He really had no idea. Maybe hunting? Since it was the only thing he was resonalbly good at. No wonder he didn't have an apprentice. He would be rubbish with him or her. But he did hope one day that he would be given a chance to train someone, not now though. He was only just a warrior!
He sat upon one of the large grey rocks that littered the territory, he felt quite hungry, he could catch some prey, take it back and eat it maybe. He spotted a shrew darting between two rocks some way away, perfect! He darted after it.

It was becoming easier to find cats out on their own, Lynxstar would never admit that her clan was weak, or that they were any danger to her precious clan. She was far too proud for that, and so barley over the border she and Immortalpaw had sighted Serenewinter. At first she warned him to keep back, but she was begining to see this really was easier than she had first thought. "Come on Immortalpaw, I want you to listen out for any other cats, if anybody lays a claw on you, you know what to do." She told her apprentice and moved out of their hiding place. She stalked over to the ivory she-cat, and it did not take long for her to scent the blood, her wound was hidden fairly well from all the cobwebs the she-cat had packed on. Didn't these stupid furballs have cats to do that? "See how much better out way of life is little twinkle paws." She taunted with a smirk. "You are even following it now that you are back with your cosy little clan, all nice and snug, what happened when you got back, did you share tongue with all your friends, gossip about how snide we are, wash your pads of blood?" She mocked and chuckled. "Oops silly me, you aren't very welcome here are you?" She asked softly, a taunting kindness in her eyes.
Serenewinter's head snapped up in alarm, as she drew her kissers back over her fangs she let a snarl rip through the air. "Get out!" She hissed with rage. "Get out now! Just stay away from me!" She spat. She turned and began a threatening stalk towards her enemy.

The same blank look that was upon his face as always was present as Eclipseomen mewed to him. He nodded, and then gave his mentor a wide berth. He listened to the quiet sounds, and his eyes darted around scanning for other cats. Immortalpaw opened his mouth and sucked in the air, tasting it. All of the scents of cats were stale, and there wasn't even the taste of prey in the air. He let out a sign of amusement by snorting quietly, so it only sounded like a sniff. His ears picked up the words the obsidian she-cat was using to taunt Serenewinter with, and he crouched down to pounce as the outcast began stalking towards his mentor. If she striked his mentor, Immortalpaw would be there instantly. He would tear the fur off of 'twinkle toes', and he would make Eclipseomen proud. He knew he was no match to her skills, but they could easily get Serenewinter back into line. Attacking superiors, was she completely idiotic? Yes, she is. he decided, and then he checked the area once more with his eyes and nose.

"There, there Serenewinter, calm down, I only came to see how you were doing." She sniffed very innocently. As the white she-cat got a bit too near she shouldered her in the belly and spat at her. As her black fur met white fur she noticed how tender her tummy felt. Well this was unexpected. Kits! They could only be......Shard's. That naughty tom! Did the ivory she-cat even know she was expecting? She took a gentle jab at her stomach and gasped. Shard must be alerted as soon as possible! She turned on the ivory she-cat eyes blazing, little did Serenewinter know Immortalpaw was behind her, hidden. There was no escape. "Here's how its going to work twinkle paws." She sneered. "You are expecting kits in case you didn't notice, and my brother has as much right to them as you do. You will have your kits here, tell your leader you want nothing to do with them and that you need to take them to us and make sure they settle in. You will come alone, or none of you will return. That is how it is going to work! Understand? Of course you do." She snarled rapidly. This was far too good to be true. Raising a paw she aimed a blow across Serenewinter's face and stalked past her to stand next to Immortalpaw. "Oh and twinkle paws, don't think I will forget this, if you don't come to us, we will come to you." She spat then began to chuckle. She looked round at Immortalpaw. "Our visit here was shorter than expected, we should rest and keep a look out for kits, fancy a hunt, or do you fancy finding me some kits?" She asked.
---------
Serenewinter gasped in pain as Eclipseomen bashed into her. It shouldn't be so sore. She doubted she had the strength to fight right now, so she just stood there, taking everything in. She could hear her heart beat ringing through her ears as she shook her head it was not true. "If you are correct I will bring my kits to you, I wouldn't want them anyway." She hissed at the she cat standing over her. That wasn't as bad as she had expected, until her head was sent to one side with a loud crack. She whimpered and hot liquid began to pour down her face, she looked around her and saw blood sprayed everywhere, her blood. Stumbling she fell to her side and landed with her wound on a pile of moss, slowly her vision escaped her and everything was black. All she could feel was the mind numbing pain, she couldn't think, she couldn't move, for the stinging, thumping, burning, roaring pain in one side of her face, but it spread through her whole body.

He let emotion break through on his face, and let out a loud guffaw as his mentor told twinkle toes she was to have kits. What a story they would get to tell to the whole of Delirium. His face slipped back into its blank state as Eclipseomen approached. He listened to her words, and then he caught the scent of blood. Blood. It was coming from Serenewinter's wounds upon her head. It made him shiver from head to toe in pure delight, but then he controlled himself. He watched her fall to the ground, and then gave his mentor his full attention. He smirked as he told her what he had found. "It would be useless to hunt, m'lady Eclipseomen. There is not even the stalest scent of prey here or anywhere in my range of scent. Completely pointless from where we are at at the current time." he meowed in his silky smooth voice that never even so much as cracked because iy was never used. The words flowed out perfectly and evenly, and it was a very rare occasion that he even did speak. He enjoyed being silent and mysterious, and he found absolute delight in being so secretive. It powered him, and Immortalpaw's features slipped back into the blank state once more.

Eclipseomen smirked at her apprentice. "Well observed, the stench of blood might scare all the prey away to." She meowed. "No wonder when we first brought in Serenewinter so was so lanky, these cats clearly don't eat very much." She snorted. Her eyes glistened with a light praise for her apprentice hidden in them before she dared glance back at Serenewinter. Out cold. "Too Zephyrclan we go then, leaving a trail of destruction behind us." She chuckled and then began to pad away, focusing on staying by the outskirts of the territory while moving through it at the same time. One thing was for sure, if they brought back no kits, Shard would not be disappointed with the news they brought. His own kits were growing, and within time they would be theirs to raise. No doubt they would be good strong warriors, if they weren't, well it was clear whose fault that would be.
Eclipseomen to Zephyrclan terra.

Lavenderpaw had followed Serenwinter in hope for some clue about this Deliruim clan. It was only when Serenewinter bumped into some other cats that she realized something was up. Immortalpaw and Eclipseomen... she thougth as they shoved her newfound friend around. She dared not step out to help. She heard them though...kits! Serenwinter was expecting kits! Lavenderpaw's heart dropped to her paws when she heard that Serenewinter would give them to these evil cats. So much for Deliruim! Whys would she want to go to such a place? How evil. When the cats were gone, she lept out to show herself.
"Serenewinter!" she gasped, rubbing her nose on her sdie where she had been pushed over by the cats. "Who were they, why will you give your kits to them? Whose kits are you having?" Lavenderpaws eyes were wide as she waited for answers.

The light began to seep into her eyes and flood them until they stung, when she began to focus properly again she saw lavender orbs staring back at her. She could barley breathe now. Everything had happened so quickly. She knew the she-cat was kind and everything she used to be, before she had encountered Delirium. Sitting up very slowly she turned and glared at she she-cat. "A wise word of advice, never go near them unless you want your life ruined, look at me." He hissed hastily. Her teal blue orbs were narrowed in disgust at the fact the lvaender eyed apprentice was so eager to meet them, once you had crossed paths with them, there was no going back, they would always be watching out for you. "ARGH!" She screeched out. Her face stung like a hundred claws rached out to claw it, a thousand fangs biting into it, a million bee stings. She whimpered in pain her head hanging as she pulled herself slowly up and started to hobble back to camp. Turning to the apprentice she said "Stay away from them," and then she was gone.
Serenewinter to VC terra.

Venturing into the territory the large tom quickly climbed the steep rocky slopes. Too much had been on his mind lately. Oh too much. Life had gone back to where it had been before he met the two she-cats that now ruined his life. Of course they hadn't ruined it. Though maybe they just might of. It was all his fault anyways....so no they hadn't. His mind was jumbled. Starclan was dead in his mind and he was easily ready to forget the life he now lived. Forget everything he had ever learned and ever gone through. Travel back to before he was born and stop the whole thing. How he wished he could. He'd never thought that life might be this bad. But in all reality it was. It always had been this bad. He truly didn't know what to do. For life as he knew it could go shove itself up its ass. Smirking lightly at the thought he couldn't help but know he was amusing himself. He would amuse the clan too. As soon as another found him. Of course he would amuse the clan. Amuse the whole clan all in all. Of course who cared what happened to him. Whatever. Stopping above a small brush of trees he positioned himself at the edge of the stone he was sitting on. His paws hung half-way over. Ready to do the unthinkable. And then...he did it. He was falling. Falling falling falling. Down the stony area. Although there wasn't much stone. It was more or less bumpy land. He was numb. Numb all over. He couldn't even feel the pain. Pain was normal for him. And then it stopped. IN one painful moment. One moment of excruciating pain. He hit a tree. The breath was sucked out of him and he gave a yowl of pain. It sounded loud. Sharp. Piercing the air with his scream. And then he drifted off. Of course Starclan wasn't done with him. Of course he was mangled. Broken bones, scratches, blood matting his pelt. But he would live....oh yes, Starclan just had to torture him more. In the trees he lay. Suffering. Sinking into the darkness of unconsciousness. Here was peaceful...and he never wanted to wake. But somebody would find him. Eventually he'd be found. Eventually he'd wake from this comfortable state of mind. And then life would be hell again.

Lavenderpaw nodded at Serenewinters advice. She would certainyl stay away from them, they were evil and horrid. Lavenderpaw sat next to the ivory she cat, her purple eyes wide with fear. She kept seeing the cats coming back, tearing Serenwinter apart...pushing her and pulling her fur away. Lavenderpaw closed her eyes as she sat beside the older cat. A sudden screech made her yelp and leep back in suprise, her heart racing.
"Stay away from them." was all the she-cat said after a series of wimpers and then she left, walking away. Lavenderpaw tried to hide th tears that slipped from her eyes. Serenwinter would never be as she used to be. Poor thing. Lavenderpaw turned the other way and headed back to camp, sniffing all the way.[/lockquote]

A delicate she-cat picked her way through the rocky landscape, being careful not to drop any of the curious bundles that hung from her mouth. The sweet scents of the herbs filled her nose, giving her a more peaceful mindset. Sometimes carrying them did have it's benefits. The she-cat sighed, the sound muffled by herbs. A set of perked ears heard only the wind and a distant bird's cry. Nothing else. No sound of attack, no call for help. All seemed well as the silver/grey and white she-cat relaxed. Or was it? Suddenly Stormwind smelled a rotten stench. Her tail stiffened as she felt a chill run down her spine. That scent, though she smelled it every day, was not something you could get used to. It reminded her of death, of battles and accidents. It was the scent that most cats tried to stay away from most of their life. But for her, the medicine cat, it was a sign she needed. The scent of blood. Swinging her head around to trace the smell on the air, Stormwind spotted a dark shape against a tree farther down. The shape, broken and motionless, had left blood streaks down on rocks above. Apparently the warrior had fallen. In one fluid movement, the she-cat leaped from the rock she had been standing on, being careful not to slip. Her vision seemed to focus on only that shape near the tree as she broke into a run. StarClan, don't let me be too late. She prayed, mentally going over the herbs in her head. Comfrey for broken bones, marigold for infection, cobwebs, dock for scratches. Luckily she had gone out for herbs earlier; she still had most of what she needed with her. Reaching the cat at the bottom, she immediately identified him as Darkfog. Poor tom. Life hadn't been the best to him lately; but his choices hadn't helped that either. Cautiously she used a paw to prod the tom, twitching her whiskers with relief as she noticed him breathing. "Darkfog?" She said gently. No response. Sitting down beside him she began to chew the marigold, her eyes constantly scanning for a sign of a cat. Any cat. She needed to get Darkfog home where treatment would be easier. But, until then, she had to work with the situation she had. There was no time to dilly dally. She had to work now, whether the place was good or not.

Damn the cat who found him. Whoever had found him he would be sure that he would never talk to them again. Never never never again. He didn't want to be saved and although he may be close to death there was a greater chance he might live now. He couldn't open his eyes for swelling had began and he was sure that he knew the voice. His breathing was slow and at some times it was quick and shallow. He was beaten up badly. And all of his own accord. Opening his mouth to try and speak he cough causing pain to surge through his body. Of course he was waking up to this. The moment where a cat was saving his life. Blood came with his cough and he couldn't help but know the medicine cat was with him. "Leave me to die. I made myself fall.........." Between each word was a raspy breath. The words themselves were barely audible though the tom was sure the she-cat had heard them. So finally the cats would see his depressed side and the real way he was. Sooner or later it would be proven this was him. And sooner of later his clan would have to deal with it.
