 Leaf stirred in her mossy bedding, was it morning already? She squinted her eyes against the bright light that fell through the entance to her den. Yes a den, if thats what you called a stupid dead bush with moss pushed underneath! She really needed to find a new place to sleep. Since she had been under the bush it hadn't rained, but if it did she would obviously get wet. Ooooh! How she hated getting wet. With her fur sticking to her body it felt very damp and cold. What was she to do then?
She crawled out from under the bush and looked around, from on top of this low hill she could see towards the Clans. She loved watching the Clans. She could only really see one of them though, it had hardly any trees, and lots of rocks. She didn't know what it was called but it was good entertainment. They all hunted, fought and trained together. She liked the way there were leaders and medicine cats to look after the cats, she had to look after herself! It wasn't that hard though. Imagine looking after alot of cats...
She smiled to herself and looked around once more, what would today bring? |

She saw a small mouse scuttling around in the brush. Just the site of it made her mouth water seing as she hadn't eaten in days. Coiling up she prepared to launch herself, and just as she was about to spring the wind changed directions and Sizzle watched as the mouse darted off. Then she sat rigid, she smelled another cat on the breeze. Granted she was close to clan territory she hadn't talked to a cat in ages so she darted and hid behind a bush which little to her knowledge had a on the other side.

Leaf nearly jumped when she heard a rustle behind her, was it clan cats? Had she accidentally gone into their territory? She had done that once before and nearly got attacked, she had got out just in time. But, it didn't sound like a patrol of cats, just one. They didn't usually go this far away by themselves, they usually stuck to the edge of their homeland. So who was this cat? Another loner?
She turned slowly and peered at the bush, so the cat was behind it? Had it not noticed that she was here? Many cats around here stayed away from each other, it was quite amusing to see they try to avoid each other. She padded slowly and silently around the bush. She peered at the cat. It was definatly a she-cat, she could smell that. She was ginger and had a... collar?! This was a kittypet? What was it doing so far from home? She really had nothing against kittypets but this was just so unusual...

Out of her peripheral she saw a shape appear and nearly bolted away when Sizzle found out it was a she-cat and she would have if it weren't for the fact that she was to tired from not eating and she was frozen with fear. All she could manage to do was try to look submissive and hope this cat didn't try to kill her for being on her territory. She tried to speak but a weird gurgle was all she could manage. Never having encountered another cat in the wild she had no clue what to do, so the ex-kittypet just sat there confused.

Leaf looked at the kittypet, she wasn't a threat. It was actually quite funny when she just sat there, right infront of her. Though Leaf did feel quite sorry for this cat, it smelt like she hadn't eaten for a while. Did she run off from her twolegs to live like this? It was sad...
"Are you okay?" Leaf asked hesitantly, incase this cat was hostile, "Are you hungry? I can get you some food..."
She suggested it subtley, incase the she-cat replied that she could do it herself. She wanted to make sure she was okay, she had seen some kittypets, all plump from their flavourless biscuits. This must be like hell for them.

Sizzle starred at this cat confused that she wasn't getting her fur clawed out. "I'm fine.. I'm just adjusting.. Though some food would be nice, I haven't eaten in who knows how long.. Could you... Never mind." Her voice was collected yet scared. She didn't want to let this strange cat know how weak she really was.

Leaf waved her tail behind her happily, she would help this cat. She didn't really have anything against her so it really wouldn't do any harm to anybody, maybe she could become her friend at some time too? And then this she-cat would get used to being a loner, if she was trying to be an loner. It was a good life after all.
"Wait a moment!" Leaf mewed and turned around swiftly. She wondered what to catch for this cat, she was obviously very hungry. Hungry enough for a rabbit?
She padded through the undergroth upon the side of the hill, there were usually rabbits around here, they must have a burrow somewhere. She hoped she could find it some day. And maybe there were empty ones too, they would make a rather good den. Sudenly she stopped dead. A rabbit!
She crept up on it silently, hoping to keep it it the same place. She was almost upon it when her fur brushed against some long undergrowth. The rabbit jumped to its feet, but did not make it that far before Leaf jumped on it. She sank her teeth into its neck, killing it. Hopefully she hadn't been that long. She dragged it back to the she-cat carefuly, trying not to get blood on the floor. That might make rabbits stay away...
"Here you go," Leaf said, placing the rabbit infront of the ginger she-cat.

"Thank you." Hunkering down in front to the rabbit she meticulously peeled the fur off of the rabbit and took a small bite and chewed, savoring the taste. Gulping down a few more bites she looked up at the kind she-cat. "This is delicious! Would you like some?" She didn't want to be rude and eat the whole thing to herself, also she didn't know if she could eat the whole thing herself. Sizzle tucked her paws under her and licked the blood from her lips waiting for an answer.
