Her eyes were narrowed, her nostrils flared, and her claws were unsheathed. One more word would send her over the edge. "Shut up, you hell-bent bastard." she hissed, and it was followed by Chasmriver's voice. He told him off, but it was no where good enough for Flamingarrow. "Now I understand why Cedarsnap here hasn't conceived any babies, eh?" she heard her friend say. "He's a baby. Older than us and acts like an apprentice." she replied, smirking at Cedarsnap. His smirk was long gone, and replaced with a scowl like the one she had held on her face only moments before. She shot a side glance to Chasmriver, saying, "I can fight my own battles!", and then she turned her eyes abck to Cedarsnap, who was snarling at her. "Leave me alone Cedarsnap!" she hissed.

Cedarsnap's body shook with his flaming hot anger, and he snarled at the two. He tried to control himself, and keep it together, but he knew that was not going to happen. He turned his attention to Chasmriver, and started snarling at him. "The Clan traitor before your Clan members? How fitting Chasmriver. Can't you see how she is on their side? Waiting to take over our Clan?! Don't you know she was mentored by their leader? Knife?! She was their pet, their secret weapon! Don't you see this?!" he snarled.

He didn't know what to think. He didn't know what to do. His body betrayed his mind little by little the time ticking by, wasting every second of his remaining time. His breaths came slowly, his eyes avoiding the gaze of those who sought it. The number was few, one maybe two cats acknowledged the depressed tom. He knew they hated him, silently warned their kits to not get so much as a tail-length near him. His body shivered. It wasn't the cold, it was the shock. The shock that still hadn't gotten through his brain. He would never let it register. It was bad enough to be reminded of Serenewinter by Abysspaw. The two she-cat were opposite in color, but their personalities slightly resembled each other. Seeing one brought up the other and he could only hold back the stabbing attempts from emotions at his heart. He was slowly withering away, a bright flower dying from the cold. Dying from no water, no sun. Darkfog's sun was gone, the snow colored she-cat would be with him no longer. Flicking his ears he felt the presence of Abysspaw, felt her head on his shoulder.
Sighing his fur was blown by a quick breeze, his eyes watching the ebony she-cat. Squeezing his eyes closed he let his head turn, rest on hers as it rested on his shoulder. She was the only cat he had, the only cat he could trust and rely on until Serenewinter was brought back. If that would ever be. She could be gone, gone forever. What would he do then? Now just the hope of her being alive was barely keeping him sane. Her death would push his heart to stopping point, a chain reaction of the event. His silence was slightly unnerving to those who weren't around him much. Though to Abysspaw it must be just like old times.

Chasmriver turned and narrowed his eyes, shaking his head with an arrogent snort, and shoved Flamingarrow to the side forcefully, roughly, but not paying much attention to her. This was his battle now. It was all a single motion, shove the damsel, leap. Glide through the air, claws outstretched and grappling for his rival's flesh, snarls ripping from his throat, unconsciou of the punishment he'd recieve; not caring. "Can I see? Hell yeah I can see, but I'm not really one to stand around and watch assholes ridicule innocent clanmates." He snarled as he rammed into the other tom, clutching his throat with his claws and leaning down. "Hmm?" He spat in the gray and white warrior's face, fangs bared menacingly.
---------------------------
Rousing, unconsciousness ebbing with the rauscious snarls and clang of claws-on-claws echoing through her cozy little den, "Mmm?" She mumbled, "No... no.." Lynxstar moaned, rolling over and lashing her miniature tail around her rump, fighting off the instinct to wake, wishing to return to StarClan where her friends were. With Poppyfur and Riftstar.. "No!" She yowled quietly, softly enough that no one outside would hear, but her own words ripped the peacefully sleep from her scrabbling clutched. Sitting up jerkily, the young leader let her lungs rise and fall, her heart beat rapidly, and her eyes ajust to the gloom before letting out a half-hearted cough and sighing. Soon after she'd controlled her spiraling mind, her skull jerked to alow her suddenly once more wide robs to gaze out to the clearing, the clangclang and flying insults and snarls continueing, as she hoped they'd stopped when she woke. No, there was fighting, and she was suddenly aware; too aware.
Leaping to her feet, Lynxstar clambered out of her nest, careening around the corner to find Flamingarrow, Chasmriver, and Cedarsnap tussling it out in the center of camp, and let out a small, pathetic chuckle. Somehow they still had the energy to do these things: she felt old. Glancing around, the tawny feline noticed how late in the day was, and sauntered over to the massive brown tabby, forcefully shoving him off and avoiding his still-flailing claws, pinning him to the ground roughly. She let out a fierce snarl herself, and caught his blazing eyes. "Chasmriver, I haven't the time, energy, or patience to deal with your impudence. Your aggression, I'll admit, can come in handy, but you're practically a mirror version of Northwind when he was your age. My dear, that isn't a good thing. I'd at least hope you'd be intelligent enough to fight your opponents outside of camp, but either way, it's my duty to punish you... all three of you, actually." She removed herself from the young warrior, and swung around to let an icy look sink into Cedarsnap, then turned to give Flamingarrow another dagger-glare. "But you'll know what it is in a moment, as it seems you all need a practice of public humility. VertgioClan, please gather for a moment of your time!" Her smooth voice cracked once with exhaustion, but she realized she wasn't all that tired after that drama, and made her way to PineStand, the pedastal made from her den and another tree mingling.
With liquid grace, she leapt like a salmon through a river, and landed perfectly, half-turning to face her gathering clan. "Why hello VertigoClan, I must congraulate you on your expertice fighting performance last evening. No casualties, thankfully. We've regained an old clanmate, once kidnapped. She has chosen to keep the warrior name assigned to her in MaliceClan by Knife, so StarClan hear me now. Please regrant this young she-cat acceptance to your way from a brief break, and by my words, accept her new calling. Flamingarrow. Flamingarrow, we admire your gentle ways and clever wits." She smiled and nodded to the warrior. "But, then again, she, and two other warriors of our clan, Chasmriver and Cedarsnap, have gotten themselves tangled in an altercation, which means you must be punished. As a result of your utmost foolishness, I grant you all apprentices once more. You'll serve the next two moons hunting for your clan, cleaning your elders and their nests, and aiding Radianteclipse at her call. You'll all report to me as your temporary mentor." She grinned wickedly. "With that out of the way, I may as well mention again that Radianteclipse has finally birthed five healthy kits; Runekit, Reflectedkit, Mallowkit, Veiledkit, and Regalkit." Lynxstar declined her skull in a brief dip of her head, showing respect and admiration for the young queen. "One more thing, stand by please." She chuckled softly. "A young she-cat has been overdue for her Warrior ceremony." The leader purred, meeting Abysspaw's teal eyes. "Abysspaw, please stand before me." The petite obsidian she-cat did as told, as always, with a smile, bright smile, parting from her mentor begrudingly. "I call upon StarClan to look down on this apprentice, for she has trained quite hard to learn your ways and code, and, in return, I ask you grant her her warrior name." She gazed at the slightly overcast sky while she spoke the much-repeated words, then glanced down to gaze upon the proudly beaming feline before her. "Abysspaw, do you promise to uphold StarClan's traditions and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?" Abysspaw nodded and said her words. "Then by the power vested in me, by StarClan, may you now be known as Abyssbird!" She yowled, looking over all of VertigoClan before stooping to touch Abyssbird's brow. "Look who's got the upperhand over who now." Lynxstar whispered, chuckling softly, and the new warrior giggled and backed down. Looking up once more, Lynxstar nodded. "Disperse.. except for you three." She smiled that cruel smile once more, showing her true mean streak, and nodded to the three new apprentices. Stepping down, she parted her maw to speak. "Cedarpaw and Flamingpaw, you two may go together, to the base of the rockslide, and hunt for snakes and voles. Return before the sun begins its decline. Chasmpaw, you may go heed Radiant's every whim for the afternoon."

She let out a sharp hiss when Chasmriver pushed her aside, and started fighting Cedarsnap. She had had enough fighting while she was in MaliceClan. She stared as Lynxstar knocked Chasmriver away from Cedarsnap, and started scolding him. And then she learned that she was going to be punished too. Before she could put in her voice, Lynxstar had gathered the Clan, and before she knew it, she was an apprentice again, and Abysspaw was Abyssbird. "Lynxstar!" she called angrily, her anger hotter than the flames that danced in her pelt. "This is outrageous!" she meowed desperately. "I didn't do anything!" she aslmost said, but knew that she had. Her eyes locked onto Cedarsnap's, and she snarled at him. "It's all his fault." she hissed, and then realized she had been put with him to hunt with. "I am not going hunting with HIM!" she yowled. Flamingarrow gazed into Lynxstar's eyes, desperate to get out of this mess.

Slowly lumbering into the large mass of Vertigoclan cats that had gathered as Lynxstar yowled, Darkfog gazed at Abysspaw slowly. He knew she would be getting her warrior name. She was well ready for it and he knew that she deserved it. He hadn't always been the best mentor but in the last moons of her training he had tried to step it up and give her a few challenges. Padding to her he let a very small and weak smile hit his mouth. "Congratulations Abyssbird." His voice was soft and raspy. He hadn't spoke in some time and it was showing. Dipping his head in respect towards the new warrior he padded towards the warrior den. He wasn't sure what to do. Serenewinter was gone and now Abysspaw was Abyssbird. Did he sulk? Did he celebrate? Or did he just run away from all this mayhem.

I got a pocket, got a pocketful of sunshine. I got a love, and I know that it's all mine. Oh. Humblecharm stepped out of the medicine cats den, his ears pricked as Lynxstar called a meeting. Surprise racked through his body, ear-tip to tail-tip. Though he knew he shouldn't be, there had been a battle last night and it was expected that VertigClans leader would want to address her Clan about it. Humblecahrm stepped out of the medicine cats den, he lichen tugging at his white-and-black fur. He let out a long trill of amused laughter as Lynxstar called out her announcement. 'As a result of your utmost foolishness, I grant you all apprentices once more. You'll serve the next two moons hunting for your clan, cleaning your elders and their nests, and aiding Radianteclipse at her call. You'll all report to me as your temporary mentor.' Do what you want, but you're never gonna break me. Sticks and stones are never gonna shake me. No. She grinned with obvious deviousness. And Humblecharm shared one amused glance with her as she went on. Abyssbird? Interesting name, he walked up to the she-cat and nodded. "Congratulations, young one." He remarked. Then he padded past Lynxstar and sat down a way always, turning his head away from the three apprentices next to her. "Flamingpaw, Cedarpaw, Chasmpaw!" He mumbled he might have at the announcing of new apprentices. The weary medicine cat padded a little ways closer to his leader, he chuckled and sat down on his haunches.
