Moonparody bounded over a fallen tree, feeling her slightly stiff muscles finally loosen up as she exercised them. She so enjoyed the rush of cold air on her face, the blur of trees past her eyes..she stopped as the scent of fresh squirrel flooded her nose. Dropping lightly into the hunter's crouch, she stalked forward, pupils enlarged, as she watched for the creature. When it poked its head out of a bush the black she-cat sprang forward, her front paws landing on the squirrel's back just as it turned to flee. With a swift bite to its neck Moonparody ended its life and thanked StarClan for the kill. She always did. Holding the prey in her jaws she turned back in the direction of camp; since she was so near she might as well leave it in the fresh-kill pile and go out again. Her thoughts turned to Cloudpatch as her paws carried her back towards the camp, and once again her eyes became clouded with confusion. She hated seeing her sister so depressed, so lonely and isolated. They hadn't been hunting together since long before their warrior ceremonies. Moonparody reached the camp entrance, and tried to clear her mind of these thoughts again.

Citrusflower skipped happily through the undergrowth. She took long periods of time to scent the fresh air around her, it had been ages before she had been able to scent that properly. "Four beautiful kits." She muttered to herself. She looked over at Cloudpatch. "Sadly you might be a bit young to be a mentor to one of them, maybe not, but I am sure you will be a great mentor to any apprentice." She meowed. She was going to say something else but then stopped when she scenteda mouse not very far away, and signaled for Cloudpatch to keep it down. Sinking down onto her hanuches she crept forward bit by bit until she could probably not be a lot closer. Pouncing on the little animal she killed it, then burried it.

Cloudpatch managed a smile, before padding after a squirrel scent. After a clean, quick kill she brought the prey back and buried it near where Citrusflower had buried her mouse. Turning to the she-cat she meowed, "You are so lucky to have such beautiful kits." Frowning a little she added, "I would like to have kits too someday." It was true, even though it would complicate her life, kits would be something to live for.

Citrusflower took a moment to pause then sighed. "Something to always worry about, think about, fuss over, look after, check on, they never leave your mind, but I love them." She purred. How she would hate herself if anything ever happened to them, ever. They were still on her mind now, even though they were with their father, it felt as though she couldn't trust him with them, even though she did completely. She shuddered at the thought. "So see any tom you fancy having kits with yet?" She asked. She may me a mother now, but that didn't make her old or any less fun and warm and caring.

Cloudpatch stiffened. She opened her mouth, but couldn't find the right words. Did Citrusflower know about what had happened between her and..it hurt to even think his name. "I used to," she meowed quietly. "I thought that we would, I thought we had a future together. And then Nettlescreech ripped my heart out. I tried to drown myself because of him. Surely you had heard?" She raised her eyes to meet Citrusflower's. "I can't love again, not after losing him. So my dreams of kits will always be that, just dreams." Cloudpatch could feel the despair welling up in her again, and she lay down, resting her head on her paws.

Citrusflower stopped day dreaming to listen to what Cloudpatch was saying. The ginger and white she-cat padded over to Cloudpatch's side and lay down with her. Her fluffly white tail layed across the black and white she-cats flank. She smiled softly. "They will never just be dreams, you will have your own kits, but you can play with mine anytime you like." She meowed soothingly. Her warm brown eyes turned to meet Cloudpatch's eyes, and she smiled at her again. "Nettlescreech will just be a confused young tom right now, don't down yourself sweet heart, it wont do you any good, then your dream of kits will just be a dream silly." She purred warmly.

Cloudpatch sighed. "I just can't look at any other toms right now. But thank you, I would love to play with your kits. If I get any time, that is." She wished so hard that she could just let go, and accept that she and Nettlescreech had lost their special bond. She meowed to Citrusflower, "I just wish I could face talking to him, so I could find out how he feels. But I can't." She trailed off, falling silent again.

"I can't offer you advice, but I can offer you a shoulder to lean on." She meowed sweetly. She knew who she was going to talk to when she got back to camp, after checking on her kits, he probably fell asleep, what if they needed milk? She shook her head trying to forget about them but she just couldn't. "Thanks for coming out with me, but I really think we should go back before I go crazy obsessing over my kits." She meowed and padded over to where she burried her mouse. She dug it up and before picking it up she meowed "You can come and keeo the kits some company at any time you wish." She meowed and began to pad slowly through the trees.
Citrusflower to camp.

"Thanks," Cloudpatch meowed and dug up her prey as well, following the she-cat back to camp. She felt tired all of a sudden, and she guessed nobody would mind, or even notice, if she went for a nap when she got back. And then maybe later she could go see Citrusflower's kits. The thought did cheer her up a little.
Cloudpatch to camp.

Hushpetal was a little bit annoyed with Ghoststar, a little annoywed with Nettlescreech. But with Mudsplash she would never be annoyed. He completed her life whether he wanted to or not. Laughing softly she purred, brushing against him as they walked through the territory. They would patrol everything, maybe ending up with a few fresh kill to bring back to camp. "Come on everybody!" She mewed happily as she bounded ahead of the others. She was in a good mood, but then again she was always in a good mood.

Cloudpatch quickened her pace a little to keep up with Hushpetal. Moonparody followed behind her, checking the scents around them for prey. Neither of them wanted to be near Nettlescreech; Cloudpatch for obvious reasons, Moonparody because she couldn't stand the sight of him after what he had done to her sister. Once they stopped to hunt, they could both go off away from the rest of the patrol so as not to run into the tom. Cloudpatch twitched her ears. She couldn't see his grey and white pelt anywhere, nor scent him. She wondered where he had got to. Moonparody on the other hand was focusing on the prey scents, doing what she did best - completely absorbing herself in the hunt. She had to learn to let go of all of her thoughts, or her worries for her sister would become too much.

dude he is a tabby + white!
Nettlescreech tumbled as far away as he could from the patrol as quickly as he could. He did not have the courage he used to have, he was just a grumpy old warrior now. Checking behind him he quickly dipped into the hollow of a tree and curled up there, he never got to sleep much in camp. Especially now with her in the den, how the hell was he supposed to sleep like that? He burried his face in his own fur and rested his tail ontop of his nose and closed his eyes and other senses off to try and get some sleep.
Mudsplash chuckled and flicked Hushpetal's ear playfully with his tail. He chuckled cheerfully as his great muscular shape moved playfully through the forest. He looked over his shoulder and sighed, it was quite like Hushpetal to not notice when others were so down, but it wasn't her fault, her mood always brightened his day no matter what, seeing her face always brightened his day though. He slowed his pace until Cloudpatch caught up and lightly shouldered her. "Hey, look on the bright side, he isn't the only one out there." He told her and looked over his other shoulder to see his apprentice, or rather old apprentice. He grinned at her and caught up with Hushpetal in a few careless bounds.
