Cyrpticstreak cursed to himself as he hit another dead end. Why did their camp have to be so bloody confusing? His cheerful mood had slightly faded after getting lost a few million times. Though, he was still optimistic about what Ghoststar would say. Somewhere along the tunnels he spotted a tabby tom. "Hey!" He called and padded slowly over to him. "I am sort of lost, I need to find Ghoststar to talk to her." He meowed. He looked behind him along the long winding tunnel, how did they ever fine their way through these tunnels? He opened his maw wide in a yawn and hoped the tom was friendly.

He had been in a daze for a while, there was a depressing lack of hustle and bustle in the camp, and his eyelids were about to give out, plunging him into sleep. Abruptly his fur began to bristle, and he leapt to his feet groggily, already in a panic. A strange smell had wafted through the tunnels, but with his senses sharp again he realized it was only ZephyrClan, and only one cat at that.
He plunked down and scanned the tunnels with his golden eyes, tail whipping impatiently. Come on, was this an ambush or something? The echo of a bumbling gait answered him, and he tried not to laugh. No, the cat was only lost.
Finally a distinguished gray and white tom emerged, looking quite confused and exhausted. Lightningstrike dipped his head and meowed, "I'll take you to Ghoststar. May I ask why you're here, or is that confidential?" Regardless of the answer he turned and padded towards Ghoststar's den, tailtip beckoning the mustachioed tom to follow. [/blockquote]

Crypticstreak shrugged nad began to follow the tom. "Help wiping out Maliceclan, I have confirmed assistance from Vertigoclan." He meowed. He caught up with the tom and looked curiously around the camp, it was so complicated and so easy to get lost in. "What do you think Ghoststar will say?" He asked curiously. The tom obviously knew his leader a lot better than he would.
lynx//hi minty. I only changed tempestclan to vertigo because CS doesn't know about Whitestar yet. c=

He was sort of enjoying the feeling of knowing his way around, being the leader and superior for a change, but he cleared these thoughts to listen to the tom's explanation, somewhat intrigued. Giving a quick bob of his head to show his understanding, he rounded the corner, and before stepping into the den yowled, "Ghoststar! We have a visitor from ZephyrClan, you're not busy, are you?" He doubted that was the case, but the silver she-cat would be cross if for some reason she was. He pivoted around to face the visitor and pondered his question for a moment. "I think you have pretty good odds. Every clan should know MaliceClan is a force to be reckoned with." [/blockquote]

Ghoststar looked up hopefully, something for her to do. She was curious what Zephyrclan would want from Celestialclan, but they were rarely a threat, the two clans often got on well. She left her den and padded forward to greet their visitor. "Thank you Lightningstrike." She meowed, and flicked her tail to dismiss the tom. "Greetings Zephyrclan tom, Crypticstreak is it?" She meowed politely. "Please go in." She meowed flicking her silver tail towards her den and moving away from the entrance. She followed him into her den slowly and sat down. "Now what is it that Larkstar would like to ask of Celestialclan?" She asked kindly.
Crypticstreak thanked the tom and turned to look at Ghoststar emerging from her den. "Yes my name is Crypticstreak." He meowed with a dip of his head and went to sit in her den, which was surprisingly warm and cosy. He took a seat after her. "Larkstar would like to ask that Celestialclan joins Zephyrclan in battle against Maliceclan." He told her, an innocent tone to his meow. "Vertigoclan have already said yes." He added quickly hopefully it would help her decide to join them.

Dipping his head respectfully to his leader, Lightningstrike padded out of the den, purposefully strolling quite slow as to maybe catch a few snippets of the conversation before he was out of range. He curled his tailtip in amusement at Crypticstreak's tentative behavoir; then again, most cats only knew of his leader's strict and cold side, not the surprisingly warm and generous side she exhibited at home.
He quickened his pace as not to get caught eavesdropping, and sighed upon reaching the main chamber. Back to square one again. Oh well, life couldn't always be so exciting. [/blockquote]

Citrusflower pulled herself to her feet and her short legs and dainty paws carried her out of the nursery. She sighed at the weight she had to carry with her all the time. She smiled when she saw Lightningstreak and went to curl up at his paws. "I'm so tired." She meowed quietly and opened her maw wide to yawn, then snapped it shut again. Her nose wrinkled and her eyes widened as she scented Zephyrclan. "What are Zephyrclan doing here?" She asked curiously, curling her tail protectivley around her. She gave her belly a few swift licks and gazed down at it lovingly.

Plunked down near the fresh-kill pile, his ears strained to see if he could pick up any more of the conversation in Ghoststar's den, but he was just too far out of range. Instead the familiar canter of dainty paws entered his ears, and his golden eyes lit up. He purred voraciously as she settled at his paws and bent down to lick her sweet head. "Don't worry, it's only a visitor, and a friendly one at that. Larkstar has asked for alliance with us against MaliceClan." He paused and changed his tone. "How is everything? Are you and the kits well?" He hadn't checked in on her much, not wanting to disturb her, but she seemed bright and lively as usual. [/blockquote]

Citrusflower purred as he licked her head. "The sooner we get rid of them the better, there is no place for those troublemakers in our forest." She meowed and pulled a plump mouse closer to her side. "Well they must be well, I think we are going to have big kits, they are a nightmare to carry around, they had better be extra nice to me." She meowed, but there was a hint of fondness in her slightly sharp tone. She bent down and took a bite out of the mouse and let it slide down her throat before taking another bite. Finishing that mouse she took another and nibbled at it, she was not being greedy, but she was eating for more than one now.
Ghoststar nodded. "You may tell Larkstar that we shall also join you in battle against Maliceclan." She announced. Her clan was strong and ready to take on any enemy. "Now tom you looks tired, do take some fresh kill, and please stay the night, ask one of my warriors to show you to the den, or you may sleep somewhere else if you wish too, please do not tire yourself out." She meowed sweetly and flicked her tail in dismissal. "Send my greetings to Larkstar." She called as she watched him leave.
Crypticstreak was surprised at how quick she had made up her mind, but that was the answer he wanted so he was not going to try and argue, especially with a leader. Spending the night here would not be as nice as at home, but it was better than nothing and he was tired. He yawned and dipped his head to Ghoststar. "Thank you." He meowed and left her den. He entered the clearing and padded over to the fresh kill pile, he picked up a piece of fresh kill and padded over to the side to eeat it, to leave the heavily pregnant she-cat and her mate to talk in private. After all nobody wanted a cat from another clan listening in to their conversations.
Nettlescreech stumbled into camp half asleep and tumbled his way over to the medicne cats den. He let Cloudpaw slide off his back gentley and rest on the floor. "She nearly drowned." was all he managed to meow before flopping to his side and closing his eyes, hoping to sleep forever and ever. His breathing slowed as he fell into a deep sleep.

Cloudpaw felt herself drifting, as if she was still in the river. But the water was calm, and she was not cold as she had been. There was no sound. Or was there? Listening intently she heard whispers of voices, felt a breeze ruffle her pelt. She could see nothing, only darkness. And then she felt herself slowly falling, and as she touched the ground she caught a scent. She was about to smile, recognising the scent as Nettlescreech's, when the memories flooded back to her. So did the pain. Everything, all hitting her like lightning. It was too much. Without meaning to, she let out a snarl that quickly evaporated into a sigh. She had no idea where she was, and all she could see now was fuzzy shapes, mostly green and brown. She heard someone speak, but she didn't hear the words. The pain slowly numbed her whole body, until it felt like she was in a block of ice. She simply couldn't feel anything, except the fierce burning sensation in her heart. It reminded her of what it felt like to have your pelt ripped by a set of claws, but it was so much worse. No herbs could heal this pain. Lying there, she tried to forget. She wanted the darkness to come again. Sweet, familiar darkness.

She was half-awake now, and could smell new cats. It was the intermingled smell of Cloudpaw and Nettlescreech. The empty pit in her heart started hurting again. She started wiggling around still half asleep. Then all of her senses came back to her. The pain multiplied. She started crying out in pain, scrabbling at the ground. Her stomach sent out an unbearable wave of pain. Amethystoculi let out an earsplitting yowl of sheer pain. She choked out a few more sobs before she gagged some more and then her head collapsed onto her paws. Tears still silently fell but she was too tired to do anything else.

How dare he. How dare Nettlescreech randomly dissappear, with not one, but two of the clan's apprentices, including her own. However, they could not lose out on him at a warrior, he may only be one cat, but that one cat could make a difference, her apprentice was in no way fit to fight, and it was Nettlescreech's fault. She snarled slightly, she was not in the least bit pleased with him, he would rest, then fight with them. Leaping onto her post she yowled to gather her clan. "Celestialclan, tonight, united with the three other clans we shall fight against Maliceclan, and peace shall be welcomed to the forest once again. All able warriors and apprentices shall attend, Gryphonflight I would ask you to stay, you need to look after Citrusflower, Cloudpaw and Amethystoculi. Nettlescreech shall rest, eat and fight alongside us. Younger apprentice's shall stay behind. Gryphonflight shall be in charge, but he is busy so do not trouble him. All able cats come to me so I know who is coming." She meowed and jumped down from her post and stood at the bottom of it.

Feeling himself ease into contentedness as his mate chattered on about their kits, he curled his tail gently around her bloated stomach, imagining he could feel each kit's distinct heartbeat. "Don't worry," he soothed, voice deep and raspy as a result of his continuous purring, "The kits and CelestialClan will be fine. I'm sure Ghoststar and the other leaders have a plan, and we're not just going to get bullied by some rogue clan." His thoughts jumped frantically from victorious battle cries to scarlet rivers, cats being thrown around in a wave of destruction, but they settled on the beautiful ginger and white she-cat in front of him, and he relaxed again.
He flicked his ears attentively as Ghoststar leapt to her podium, those sharp teal eyes focused on her clan. So this was it. Tentatively he tore himself away from Citrusflower and gave her another swift lick on the head. "Take care of yourself, alright? And don't worry too much, the stress isn't good for you." Lightningstrike smiled lightly and padded to his leader, dipping his head respectfully. "I'm ready to go any time." [/blockquote]

Her big golden eyes glimmered, their radiance reflecting through her pretty face, a hint of smile peaking out from the upturned corners of her maw while her big ears pivoted to take in the others' reactions. Most were unhappy and fearful, but Breakingdawn could hardly wait, for one, there seemed to be nothing worth living for, as CeletialClan had grown into a sick routine by day, then Nettlescreech... scumbag. She swung her head around to look behind her, scoping out the sick tom. Poor Cloudpaw. Poor Breakingdawn. Then, of course, the young warrior wouldn't mind dying if it meant she could do it with vigor and grace, taking down as many cats as she could with her, then so be it, because it sounded like a dream right then to her. Her plan was not to die, no, but as lng as she was shooting low, then there'd be no disappointments when her body was found and she was drifting to the heavens. Srtiding forth, her head held low, pretty Breakie looked like a mongrel, her fur scruffy and unkempt, and the fire of battle lit a blaze in her yellow pools. "I will be more than pleased to fight Ghoststar count me in." She smiled, then raising her head high.

Citrusflower put her head on her paws and flattened her eyes to her head. This could not be happening, not now. She closed her eyes tightly and pushed her nose into Lightningstrike's fur. She knew when Ghoststar had stopped speaking, her mature call stopped, leaving silence in the clan for a few moments, before the chatter of cats starting up again. She raised her ears again gingerly and gazed up at Lightningstrike. She was careful to make sure she heard what he said clearly, would it be the last time she would hear it? She pressed her fangs onto her tounge to stop herself from wailing. Her eyes began to water and catch what little light they had down here. She couldn't take it anymore. As quickly as she could, which was rather slowly, she shuffled into the nursery and lay down. How could she not worry. She winced as her fangs pierced her tongue she was biting down so hard. She kept her tongue in her mouth to avoid dripping blood anywhere.
Ghoststar felt strong, as always. Two of her warriors had already began to gather around her and for that she was grateful. The solemn goodbye shared between Lightningstrike and Citrusflower almost broke her heart. The poor she-cat, it looked as though she may even be ready to have her kits when they weren't here. Gryphonflight would be, and he had some apprentices to stick around if he needed any extra paws. Everything would be ok. Please Starclan, lead us into victory and not loss, let friends and kin return to those they left behind, let the clans unite in peace and fight as one, and let Maliceclan be sent running in fear, when we show them who is really the boss of the forest.
