[glow=blue,2,300]Trenton Square is the home to most of the older buildings of the town. There are Cafés and little antique shops, and there are always people going in and out. In the center of all of this, there is a small little park full of trees, flowers, benches, and statues. In the heart of the small park is a white gazebo and a small lake, home to Willie and her kits.[/glow]
Willie was awakened by her kit's gentle mews just as the morning dew was beginning to dry. Willie's home was underneath the old gazebo. There was a hole in the white fencing and inside was the sweet scent of milk and moss. Willie loved it. Her three kits mewed as she shifted positions so her kits could have breakfast.
Later, Willie emerged from her home and dragged a piece of wood in front of the hole. She padded over to the small lake, full of fish. She leaned down and took a drink of the cool water, and searched for a nice breakfast. She spotted a plump fish and her paw shot into the water. She flipped it out of the water and was eating in no time.
After her breakfast, Willie went back to check on her three kits who had no names yet. She sighed and licked each of their heads of each kit before leaving again. She ran through the park happily searching for Xavier, her mate, and the love of her life.
"Over here!" called the handsome black tom she knew and loved. "Xavier!" she called to him, up where he was lying, on a bench, waving his tail at her. She jumped up onto the bench with him. "Are you coming to see the kits today?" she asked hopefully. "Of course I am, Willie. I couldn't not visit them or you. I wouldn't last a day without you." Xavier replied truthfully.
Willie pressed herself against Xavier. "I miss you whenever I'm not with you." she mewed, almost to tears. "Why do you have to go back to your Twoleg? I'm always afraid that they are going to hurt you and that I won't see you again." she mewed, now with tears in her eyes. She jumped off the bench and ran back towards the gazebo.
Her heart beat faster when she saw that the hole was uncovered. She ran faster towards the gazebo. "My kits!" she screeched as loud as she could. She burst through the hole and scanned her home for her kits, her breath coming quick and furiously.
"Willie! What's wrong?" mewed Tanzia, Willie's best friend. Willie stared. "You could have at least told me you'd be visiting!" Willie meowed in a scolding tone. Tanzia apologized. "Now, you are an absolute mess. What happened?" Tanzia asked calmly. Her best friend explained everything to her. Tanzia nodded. "It's not going to last. Things like that never do." Tanzia replied with the truth. Willie sighed. "Can you watch the kits while I go for a walk?" she asked politely. Tanzia nodded as Willie padded out.
Willie walked around the park, loneliness consuming her. She wanted to talk to someone she didn't know for once... Someone who didn't know her story.
