The white tom padded slowly into the camp. His large frame heading towards the warriors den. He didn't want to talk today, he didn't want to talk ever. Ha. Silence was the one thing he was good at. It seemed like everybody in the clan hated him for who he was, and were always trying to change him. Well they couldn't and they wouldn't. Darkfog was staying who he was, and he wasn't about to change for the cats who thought they were better than him. Especially Lynxstar, oh how he despised her. She always accused him for wanting to cross the border into Zephyrclan whenever he stood at the edge of the lake. She ha djust done that moments ago and that had caused him to trot off into the blizzard's snow and disappear into the whiteness. Finding his way back to camp was not hard, for it was a sanctuary and those he seemed to remember. Scooting inside the den, he curled himself into a ball and shoved his nose under his fluffy white tail. Softly he laid his front paws down, careful to not hurt the fresh wounds that were concealed by spider webs and his long fur.

A lone white figure sat in the forest, under what was once a bramble bush, and what was now a bunch of dead twigs holding up a pile of snow. One wrong move and the snow would fall through the gaps, and soak her pelt through, something she was trying to avoid. She was hiding from the patrol she had been sent out of, it was too cold to hunt, and so far they hadn't found anything anyway. Poking her head out from under the bush she looked from side to side, looking for any signs of other cats. There were none. Gingerly she crept out from under the bush and when she was sure she was clear of it she began to leap through the snow, her pads barley touching the ground, numb pads were a horrible thing to have. She ran swiftly and she was back at camp in no time, slipping into camp she avoided all other cats and slid quietly into the warriors den. A piece of cake. Only one other cats was in the den, Darkfog. She could tell that he had just settled and was not yet asleep. Padding over to her nest, which was next to Darkfog's she lay down, her chin resting in her paws. She lay for a few minutes, but not able to bear the silence she decided to say something. Even though she knew how Darkfog could be, it was cute the way he didn't like to talk very much. "So what brings you in here?" She meowed softly. She could still feel the chill in her pelt and shivered, it was warmer in the warriors den, but not much. She hated the cold, even though she had winter in her name, it was just too cold to do anything really, well apart from play in the snow.

His eyes darted over to the den entrance as he heard another cat stir in the camp area. Surely they wouldn't intrude upon his resting, but then again it wasn't his den it was all of the warrior's den and he shared it with them. They all knew him and he knew them, and that was the thing he hated the most. Being known. But he would have to get used to it, being a warrior and all he might have an apprentice shoved onto him....oh wait he did. Abysspaw, that was her name. Lynxstar had stupidly given him that apprentice and he cursed her every day for it. Oh well, he would have to get used to it should he or she ever amount to anything within the clan. The agony of waiting for who would enter the den and he almost got to his paws, but then in bounded Serenewinter. He had noticed her before, the pretty young she-cat of his age. He remembered growing up with her, his mother and her mother got along. His brothers were always playing with her and her siblings, while Darkfog sat off to the side, in the shadows. Much like he did now. His nest of moss was situated in the back, and his eyes followed her as she walked and lay in hers beside him. She was silent, something that he wasn't used to. Most cats came in and tried to chat him up. At least she was willing to give him some silence. And then she spoke, but it was after the silence. It was a calm before the storm to Darkfog and he thought about stalking out of the den in hopes of finding a quieter place. Instead he just decided to reply, though his wouldn't exactly be warm to her. He was as cold as the environment he resided in. "What do you think?" HIs voice was cold and harsh, raspy but not in the old cat way....in a subtle way that was scary, and was almost uncatchable.

She meowed. "Don't get me wrong, but they will find us here eventually." She turned abruptly as a breeze came through the entrance to the den and ruffled her fur uncomfortably, making her shiver. Her tail dusted the ground behind her, scattering the moss, and gathering dirt from it. She pushed her gentle pink nose into her frozen paws, turning her head she peered out at Darkfog with one mysterious blue eye. Closing her eye again she rested her chin on her paws, she could always go to her favorite bush to hang out, but she was lonely, and she didn't want to do her warrior duties, yet she couldn't see that she would get any company from Darkfog. Mind you, she could get anything out of just about any cat, eventually.[/ul]
