Soulcatcher He felt a bit of pride just then as he took a moment to think about it. "Well i guess i just learned that you could notice a lot more when you just take a moment to listen." he replied flashing her a nice smile. He felt like he could be someone different with her around making him feel more like he had a friend and wasnt just an outcast. Though he wasnt clan born he was loyal to his clan wither the others thought so or not, he was. His eyes soon caught glimpse of a mouse scurrying across the undergrowth. "No trying your scent tracking close your eyes and relax, take a deep breath and locate that mouse, if done properly you can catch it without even opening your eyes or running into anything that is not that scent." he replied siting down to watch.

Goldenpaw flashed the tom an uncertain look. Close your eyes and not run into anything? That didn't sound too safe to her. But, then again, the warrior wouldn't intentionally have her do something that would harm her. Would he? No. She knew that he wouldn't.
Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and drank in the scents. The faint smell of rain on the wind, the smell of the long grass beneath her feet. The sweet, mouth-watering scent of mouse. There it was! Goldenpaw leaped forward, feeling scared as she kept her eyes closed. She landed, her paw hitting the ground. Opening one eye slightly, she sighed in disappointment as she watched the mouse tail scurry into the bushes. She had missed it by a pawstep.

Soulcatcher Soulcatcher nodded in approval "That was good for a first try, a good warrior will know how to hunt with all there senses." he replyied as he got up to trot over to her resting his tail on her back for a moment. His eyes narrowed locking on a vole near the other end of the clearing. "Watch ill show you." he replied closing his eyes as he scented the vole. Walking towards it silently til he pounced landing on its back before opening his eyes and biting it quickly.

Goldenpaw watched with curious surprise as Soulcatcher landed right on the mark with his eyes tightly shut. She was quite stunned. How could someone do that? The she-cat pushed herself up from the sitting position she had taken and headed right for the warrior. Her tail was up and her head tilted to the side, you could tell she was still trying to figure out what had happened. "Wow." Was about the extent of her language right now. "Been doing this a long time?" She added, feeling that saying only wow would make her appear quite mouse-brained.

Soulcatcher Soulcatcher turned his muzzle to face the apprentice, her wide eyes said everything as he let out a soft smile. One word was what she spoke and sat down lifting his paws to his mouth to give it a quick lick. His eyes turned back to Goldenpaw How long have i? he thought to himself as he wraped his tail over his paws swiftly. "Well i guess when you spent most of your time alone, you have a lot of free time." was his answer as he flexed out his front paws. "You can learn a lot when you take a chance to look at a situation, any for that matter hunting fighting its all the same well except for fighting in battle, you dont have much time to think." he mewed.

Goldenpaw nodded, unable to think of much more. Her head was whirling with what he had said, thuogh she knew it was all useful. Sticking her pink nose into the air, the young tabby began to pad forward. She had smelled lots of prey now using this new idea. It really did work. "Keep going?" She suggested.

Leaving Harmonydance to herself, Twistersoul had stalked off, satisfied and yet disappointed. Normally he didn't let a she-cat win like that, normally he wouldn't just leave on alone like that. He was the type of cat who praised the she-cats, talked them up, tried to get into their heads and then left them hanging. Wanting more but never giving it to them. However it seemed that Harmonydance was different, he had praised her, talked her up, and she had come back fiery and arrogant. IN the end he had given up, something he didn't often do....and to here more of less it made him feel weak. He needed another cat to talk to, another she-cat....any would do. It wasn't hard to talk she-cats up, especially those who thought they deserved every bit of attention. Though Tempestclan didn't hold many, he knew of a few. As he continued, his paws hit the ground, thudding in his ears. But there was another sound, the sound of talking, the sound of a group. He would go become part of it...whether they wanted him to or not. The camp was boring today, but this group held a few cats and, one of them being the apprentice Kindelpaw. Giving his fur a lick, his eyes glinted mischievously and he gave a mrrow of laughter. it rumbles over the silence of the air, before thinning and disappearing. "Hello Kindlepaw, doll. What brings a pretty she-cat like you to be doing nothing but talking to those furballs? Hmm?" His yellow, alluring orbs glinted softly in the dim light as the sun began to fade.

Kindlepaw swiveled on the spot and blinked in surprise at the gray tom's sudden appearance. What a flirt, she decided, he was much too old for her. But she would play along, if anything he was one of the better cats in this dreary clan, not a sore old temperamental fleabag. She turned her yellow-green gaze on the long-furred warrior, looking him up and down and settling on his own yellow pools. Quite enchanting, though she hated to admit it. She stretched out her forelegs as though she was stiff from sitting. "Oh, nothing you would be concerned about." she yawned, feigning boredom.

Watching his brother talk up the pretty apprentice known as Kindlepaw was hilarious, and the wiry gray apprentice almost lost it when she replied. He was much much much too old for her, his mouse brained brother should know that. Narrowing his eyes slightly to focus in on Twistersoul, Torrentpaw couldn't help but itch to go interrupt and smooth talk his was into the conversation. He would, eventually, but first he'd let his brother sit in agony awhile longer. He knew that his brother wouldn't last long by the look on his face. Normally Twistersoul was calm and collected, but here he just seemed out of place. Grinning in satisfaction, Torrentpaw took a step from the apprentice den and began the walk over to the two. The sunlight that remained hit his pelt and was soaked right into it. His pelt didn't reflect the light, and he was glad it didn't. Those cats who thought they were the best because their pelt glistened in the sun were annoying. Reaching the two his eyes gave a sparkle much like his brother's and he prodded Twistersoul with an outstretched paw. Torrentpaw received a thankful look from his brother and couldn't help but smile back. Turning his attention back to the beautiful Kindlepaw he let his voice out. "Aren't you glad I know how to wreck a party?" Laughing as his words came from his mouth he settled down across from her, his tail curling around his paws.

Ah, Kindlepaw purred, Now here's someone a little more suitable. "Certainly. I didn't know you were so good at it." she grinned, watching the apprentice's older brother vanish to elsewhere in the camp. Nothing to see now but the charming tom staring keenly in her direction. Charming, yes, but there were more important matters in her life than love. Still, it wouldn't hurt to play his game. Maybe it would take her mind off the old coots who would continually try to put her in her place.

Laughing softly at her words, Torrentpaw flicked his tail softly, before replacing it where it had been. If he was right Kindlepaw was a few moons younger than he was. Younger she-cats were always easier to get, though he didn't understand exactly why. When they reached your exact age they ignored you, and as they grew older than you they only laughed at you. In his eyes Kindlepaw was the only she-cat worthy trying to gain the attention of, though he knew that he would eventually have a problem committing himself. He wasn't the type that settled down. Then again, who didn't know that. He was kin to Twistersoul and Twistersoul was the type of cat that never settled down. Twistersoul and Torrentpaw shared the same mother though Twistersoul was many moons older than Torrentpaw himself. "You don't know much about me so you shouldn't know that."

The tom's uppity remark rolled off Kindlepaw's pelt like water on a duck's back. Shrugging, she mewed "Give me one good reason why I should know more about you." She wasn't as vulnerable to fall for Torrentpaw on a whim, and she was sure he knew that. It probably looked as though she was playing hard to get, but that wasn't a problem. She would let Torrentpaw have his fun, then be on her merry way.
