Short Description:
Age: 36 moons
Gender: She-cat
Desired Position: Warrior
Short Description:
Scrawny, long-legged, green-eyed she-cat with lightly-striped tan fur and a sharp tongue.Description:
Perhaps leanness is a desired trait in the cats of ZephyrClan, as they have to be quick and light as jackrabbits...but, in any case, no cat has a right to be this skinny. Do not be deceived--Sparrowflight does eat. She eats quite a bit, actually. In fact, she eats a lot more than a cat her size has a right to eat. She loves freshkill. Somehow, however much she eats, Sparrowflight remains as scrawny as she has been since she became a warrior. Sleek, tan fur stretches over a long, thin body, while darker-brown stripes streak across her shoulders and sides. With this coloring, Sparrowflight can move quickly through tall grass without attracting much attention to herself. Pale green eyes peer forth from her face and hold the light not of a starving, crazed stray (as she often appears to be) but of a quiet, confident warrior.Personality:
However confident, Sparrowflight still is small. Her legs and tail are long and she moves with impressive speed, but she is small and not nearly as strong as many warriors. In fact, it took her an extra moon of apprenticeship to finish her fighting training. When faced with nearly any cat in a close-quarters battle, where she cannot use her speed to outmaneuver her opponent, Sparrowflight may as well not even be there--she is much better suited for the role of a quick messenger or decoy.
As one might imagine, Sparrowflight is a tad bit self-conscious when it comes to her size and strength. I mean, it took her an extra moon just to finish training. No matter that she was a champ at hunting--the fighting was just awful for her. Oftentimes she feels like she has failed in fighting, even though she can fight quite well in open spaces. Well, actually, I believe I am misleading you. In her mind she is very self-conscious, but outwardly she appears to be perfectly accepting of herself. Only rarely does this facade slip, though it does happen.Experience:
Besides this small problem with her, Sparrowflight is fairly agreeable. She is an excellent hunter, and her greatest pleasures come with chasing down rabbits and mice in open fields. She is not much of a talker, and can get quite snappy when someone disturbs her when she is relaxing in solitude. Kits and apprentices can often receive the sharper edge of her tongue, although most cats realize that the only reason she is stern with them is because she worries about them. In fact, the cats Sparrowflight snaps the most at are the ones she cares the most about. Strange, right?
She's really not the shyest cat ever, besides her inward self-consciousness. In fact, Sparrowflight enjoys speaking her mind bluntly, and does not possess the ability to twist negative comments and make them sound as if they are not so bad as they seem. So, really, what she says is what she means...and she doesn't really quite understand sarcasm, either. Whether a good trait or a bad one, the fact stands that rarely will you find Sparrowflight "beating around the bush" or attempting to veil her opinions on a matter.
Well, Sparrowflight was born into ZephyrClan like most cats. Her parents are both gone now, and she was the only kit to survive from her litter, as she was born in leafbare (perhaps this has something to do with her size?) From the start, she was small, and I have already mentioned that she was required to train for an extra moon, because her fighting was less than adequate. Her favorite training days were patrols and hunting, and this continues to be true as a warrior.Picture:
Her mentor, Whispercloud, was a rather small cat as well, and therefore Sparrowpaw received helpful training on how to use her speed and agility to fight, rather than muscle strength (which, as we know, she does not have much of). Though he was stern with her, Whispercloud was and still is one of Sparrowflight's favorite cats, and they both share a common habit--snapping and fussing at those they care about.
Sparrowpaw became Sparrowflight at 13 moons, and though it was embarrassing to be left behind by the other apprentices, Sparrowflight managed to get over it and focus on hunting. Now, as a warrior of 36 moons, she considers Whispercloud her closest friend and continued mentor.
She looks like my kitty Daisy ^.^ But I'm not sure I have a picture of her on this computer.Other:
She is prone to some very vivid dreaming, where she walks around with eyes open and can mistake a cat (or apprentice ^.^) for a piece of prey....
