Description:

Most cats seem to think that Lightningpaw was named after her eyes; the bright amber colour resembles the strands of electricity greatly. It is the exact bright colour of it; it is a great contrast against her greyscale pelt. The eyes draw you into her face, they stand out really well. As the yellow colour reaches in towards her black pupils, the colour becomes slightly paler, but not enough for other cats to notice it. It is this that makes it alike to lightening, like the pale center on the bright flashes. It has been commented that her eyes are what people notice fist about Lightningpaw.

As mentioned before, Lightningpaws’s pelt is a mixture of black and grey. The grey is quite pale, almost verging of white around her feet and the tip of her tail. The grey colour does not seem cold though, a small amount of a creamy colour is mixed in with the grey, making it seem just slightly cool, or even slightly warm. It is hard to notice this mixture though, to others the grey just looks... grey. Over the top of this grey colour dark, bold black tabby stripes cross it, they are quite striking and easy to see. If you look at the stripes long enough you may be able to tell the way some are shaped almost like a lightening bolt.

Lightningpaw is quite a small cat, though she is of apprentice age she always seems to be smaller than other cats her age. It is thought that she will not grow anymore, and it is odd why. She grew a small amount while she was a kit, but hasn’t really got much bigger lately. It may be that she stays the size of a kit for a while, or she will grow some more. Her fluffy pelt, not long haired, just fluffy, helps her look bigger sometimes. She may not be as strong as some other cats, but she has sharp bright white claws that are ready for hunting and fighting, and she happens to be quite fast.

She has many qualities that make her unlike other cats, one is the fact she is still looking like a kit with her fluffy pelt, and also with a round face with big eyes. Her tail is also quite abnormal, the fur starts off like the rest of her pelt, short but slightly fluffy but as it nears the end of her tail it grows longer, until at the end it is quite long haired. Her nose is not black like you would expect with her pelt, it is a dark pink, fading into grey at the top. The pink colour is quite rich, but hardly as noticeable as her eyes.

Personality:

Lightningpaw is a usual young cat, she is nearly always rushing around and acting hyper. She likes to play with the other apprentices alot, she doesn’t care that she is smaller than them, if they were her friends they wouldn’t care about it either, so it works both ways. Sometimes when she is playing she gets mistaken as a kit, not because she just looks like one, but also for her endless energy and the fact she is nearly always around the kits. She likes being around them as they are so much like her, and it helps the queens when they need a rest. So Lighteningpaw takes them off their hands for a while and keeps them quite entertained.

Even if she is this hyper she can be quite smart, she likes figuring out tactics for her training and wants to make plans for becoming a leader one day. She thinks it would be great if she was able to lead the clan one ay, she would have to look after clan and make important decisions for it. She thinks that she may be good at this and she enjoys following Lynxstar around alot, seeing what she does. She doesn’t know if Lynxstar knows she gets followed, she never seems to turn around to look at her but she may just not be looking at her while she does the following.

When training she wants to do absolutely everything, she gets exited when she goes out on patrols or hunting. She thinks hunting is better than fighting; she likes running after the prey and leaping on it. She thinks of it as a big game, like hide and seek. The prey is hiding in the territory and she has to go find it and bring it back for everyone. She does like fighting, but not as much as hunting. She enjoys fighting because it’s where she can put her energy into it; she likes jumping around and trying to attack her mentor. All of her training is fun to her, especially when it is done with some other apprentices, more cats, more fun!

She can be quite responsible if she wants to be, and when she calms down. This is the reason that the queens allow her to take care of the kits. She always tries to keep all of them in her sight when they are running around, and she makes sure none of them get into any danger. She can be a little over protective of these kits, getting very worried if she cant see one of the kits when she is looking after them. She does like looking after them, because it helps people trust her and she gets to play with all the little kits, well, not so little to her.

Lightningpaw is defiantly not shy, so she loves to be surrounded by many cats. She doesn’t care who likes her or not, she will stay with them. She doesn’t usually notice when cats don’t like her, and will sometimes accidentally annoy them by hanging around them She can be a good listener, but if she is hyper when she gets told something she will usually not hear it properly. She tries not to let this happen much, especially when she is training or looking after the kits for a few moments. She doesn’t usually get in trouble, but if she does its usually for not paying attention.

Experience:

Lightningpaw was born to Skydream, her father was unknown. It was a small litter, compromising of just Lighteningkit and Shadekit. Both of the kits look a little like their mother, Lightningkit taking her small frame and light grey base coloured pelt. Skydream was weak after the birth, and was never able to return to her warrior duties. She retired as an elder instead, after caring for her kits until they were old enough. Around the time of their birth many cats tried to guess the name of their father, but when Skydream died at just thirty moons, when the kits where five moons, no-one would ever know.

Shadekit and Lightningkit were okay together, they weren’t the closest of siblings and they fought every so often. They did care for each other though, and always looked out for each other, even now. They were liked by many cats of the clan, like all kits are, being small, fluffy and cute. They were often seen running rampage through the clan, or what they thought was rampage. It was more like running and playing with everything that they could get their paws on. They were often found around the entrance of the clan, often without their mother. They dared each other to go out without a warrior so many times they can hardly remember, but neither went out more than once.

They were both proud when they became apprentices, even with all their training they managed to have fun, and that was just in the first moon. Lightningpaw was glad that she and Shadepaw were both apprentices together, it had been debated whether Lighteningpaw should be an apprentice then, or later her being so small and kit-like. But Lightningpaw had protested and had got her way, and became an apprentice. She hadn’t wanted to be left behind, and let Shadepaw become and apprentice before her, that just wouldn’t be fair! She will try and do well with all her training and become the best warrior that she can be. She dreams of one day becoming the leader, or at least the deputy. But she cannot be sure if this will happen.

If, for her name, you meant Lightning as in bolts of electricity instead of Lightening as in the opposite of darkening, I would fix that if I were you, but since the word can be taken either way, she's accepted. I love her boucey personality, too and her mentor will be Darkfog. He's a tough nut to crack but if she can bother him enough I'm sure they'll do fine. :3
