Whispercloud was waiting for Sparrowflight. What was she talking about? Green eyes? Probably light or something... He frowned, and when he asked her if she wanted to play, that was worse. He sighed and closed his eyes, trying to scent prey. Mice.. He thought, and started to walk toward the smell. Once close enough, he went into a crouch, and pounced. "One.." He wasn't really in the mood to hunt, but he knew Sparrowflight loved it. He wanted to make her happy, so he'd do his best to archive that. For her..
He covered the earth over it, and smiled. At least he could feed his clan. That was one of the most important things to him. Besides making Sparrowflight happy. He knew they fought, and the past days really took a blow on their friendship.. but would StarClan let them stay friends? He could only hope. The grey tom was getting a bit depressed lately, and he wish he could tell Sparrowflight... but she would never believe him.

Things had been going a little strangely for Sparrowflight and Whispercloud recently, and the scrawny she-cat couldn't help but feel a little uneasy as she padded after her friend. He had been acting so strange, and when his eyes had changed color like that...she shivered, then shook the thought out of her mind. She wanted to drop it...wanted them to relax and have a good time hunting. She needed to trust Whispercloud. "Good catch," she mewed, though she knew Whispercloud didn't much care for flippantly-given praise. Whispercloud still looked a little off, and a thought sprang into Sparrowflight's head. They hadn't had a sparring match since she was an apprentice, and, well...every warrior could always use a little exercise.
"You're a scrawny little thing, Sparrowpaw," she mewed, crouching down and stalking around Whispercloud. The words he had spoken on their very first battle training came back into her mind, and she quoted them. "You can't ever hope to just run headfirst into any warrior. Don't you get it, mousebrain? You have to use your speed and cunning. So come on, give me something I'm not ready for." she stopped quoting him and waited, tail lashing from side-to-side as she wondered if he remembered that special day. "Come on, give it a shot."

Whispercloud smiled a bit when he got praised, but he was confused again. Praise? He thought, and then she started circling him, quoting him. He couldn't help but think she was taunting him, and the grey tom started to crouch down. "Are you ready? You'll never be a good warrior unless you know your opponent." He told her, grinning. "Can you always be sure what they'll do?" Quick as a flash he pounced on her, pinning her down. "Do you know them that well?" He taunted, and then jumped off of her, and circled her this time. "How do you know I won't turn on you?" He teased, appearing next to her, his blue eyes burning into her pelt, he knew he'd never betray her, did she?
He backed away from her, his tail lingering on her fur. "You know I'd never hurt you, right?" He told her softly, his eyes watching her, he smiled a bit, and took it back. He looked up at the sky, and laughed. "We are odd, aren't we?" He looked back over at her, and smiled. Whispercloud was being a bit playful earlier, it took away from the pain he saw every time he was alone. He couldn't help but sigh, and then the grey tom wondered if she saw that, and he looked down, embarrassed.

Sparrowflight released an "oomph" as she was knocked to the ground, then sprang to her paws when Whispercloud let her up. "Any warrior can turn on you," she agreed, lashing her tail back and forth as she watched him carefully. "But not your closest friend." She felt more than his friend now, but she didn't want to say it. The past few days had been too complicated for a profession of "love". Whispercloud's face fell again, and Sparrowflight padded forward to rub her head against his. "Tell me about it?" she mewed, drawing back to look into his eyes. "You can trust me."

Whispercloud nodded at the comment Sparrowflight said, "Not your closest friend.." he purred, grinning back at her. No cat could say that they trusted each other. Whispercloud would trust her with his life, if it ever came to that. He looked at her then, that moment when she asked him. Her touch made him shiver. Could he tell her? Maybe.
"Maybe I could tell you..." He told her, his eyes burning in to hers. "Well, it does have to do with my sister. You know her, right?" He paused, thinking about how she's been sneaking off, to be with that stupid tempestclan cat. He took a deep breath and sighed. "She's fallen in love with a cat from TempestClan."

He was going to tell her...she could see it in his eyes. Sparrowflight sat down and curled her tail around her forepaws, and waited. "She's fallen in love with a cat from TempestClan." [/i] Sparrowflight's eyes widened and she leaped to her paws. "How do you know?" she asked, tail lashing in surprise. She wasn't really sure what to think...she didn't want to overreact, but...a cat in her Clan was in love with a cat from another Clan! It was against the Warrior Code! Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to sit down and look Whispercloud in the face. "Sorry," she mewed. "I didn't mean to freak out. But...how long has this been happening?" No wonder he had been upset and stressed out the past couple of days. What if his sister became pregnant?[/size][/blockquote]

Whispercloud knew she'd be alarmed, but he didn't expect her to freak out. He waited until her fur lie flat to speak again. "I've seen them," He said, it was taking most of his self control not to completely lose it. His fur was raised a bit, just the slightest though. It came as a shock to him, his sweet sister was disobeying the warrior code. It made him angry, and angrier, still, when he thought of the cat she'd fallen in love with.
He couldn't believe the one line she told him, it was hard to keep a promise. "Don't tell anybody. Not even Sparrowflight." He'd already broken it, but how could he not? Did she just expect him to let it go, because she was happy? If she's happy, that's great! But with another CLAN?! He thought, scraping at the earth. He looked at Sparrowflight, and let himself calm down... just a bit.

"You have every right to be furious," Sparrowflight assured him, interpreting his expressions as his anger rose and faded. "And...this is up to you. I won't tell anyone or get involved, if you don't want me to." It was hard for her to say this. She couldn't stand it when a cat disobeyed the warrior code, and it was killing her to not go straight to Dewstar and tell him what was going on. But...she knew she had to stay out of it. This was for Whispercloud to deal with. "Who is the tom? Can you tell me? It's okay if you can't."

Whispercloud's fur was bristling again. "If I knew who he was, he'd be dead by now!" He spat, he was so close to going to TempestClan and killing that stupid tom. He was terrifying when he was angry, and then he looked at Sparrowflight. He didn't know if he'd scared her, but he turned away and tried to calm down. "Hold on.." He frowned, after a moment he looked back. "Sorry," he murmured, shaking with annoyance, fear, and sadness.
This tom was losing his grip on what he knew, he needed to keep calm. But how could he? When so many things are going wrong. His best friend, would he lose her too? Like those before her? No, he didn't want that. Not at all... "Sparrowflight... you're so important to me," He murmured. He didn't even know if he said it out loud, but he curled up on the floor, depressed.

Sparrowflight sprang backwards, fur bristled as Whispercloud freaked out. She couldn't blame him...if she had any siblings, and she had found out that they were doing something like this, she would be freaking out too. "I'm here for you, Whispercloud," she mewed, coming over and giving him a lick on the ear. "And...if you want to follow her next time you see her leave...I will cover for you with Dewstar or Hexmark, or go with you. Whichever you want." Sure, that was breaking the warrior code...sneaking out of camp, lying to the leader, and trespassing on another Clan's territory, but...it was different when you were doing it to stop something like this. And...Whispercloud was upset. Terribly, horribly upset. How could his sister do this to him? They had to break this up.
((That would be interesting if they spied on TempestClan and saw the two))

((OOC: It would be interesting. :3)) Whispercloud smiled softly and nodded. "Thank you, Sparrowflight." He thanked her, happy that she would do that for him, he'd do it for her, too. But he was supprised when he said that she'd go with him, of course, he'd do it too, but it was interesting to know that. Smiling, he purred. "Maybe, but she has amazing hearing, she'd know." The grey tom sighed, and tilted his head. Where was his sister now? Who knows, but he'd find her. Later though, he wanted to be with Sparrowflight. He missed her, but he didn't know why. He was with her all the time, odd... what did he miss?

Sparrowflight frowned--she took Whispercloud dropping the subject as meaning he was giving up. "If we followed far enough behind, we could follower her scent at least...and then next time she sneaks out, bet here waiting in the shadows." It didn't seem like Whispercloud wanted to talk about this, though, so Sparrowflight padded over to him and gave him a swat on the ear. "Okay then, mousebrain, what do you want to do?"

Whispercloud was happy she took the hint, and shrugged. "I really don't know, what do you wanna do?" He asked awkwardly, what if she didn't want to do something? Hmm, odd. He'd think of something, should they go back to camp? No, it feels like they just got there... what to do.. they should hunt! {O:}
"Wanna hunt?" He asked, smiling. He padded away to a small area and sat down. Waiting, he opened his jaws, tasting the air. He tasted a rabbit, and he sprang without thinking, scaring the rabbit off. "Foxdung!" he spat, annoyed.
Trying again, he waited this time. Then, as another rabbit hopped by, he sprang and killed it with his large paws. Satisfied, he carried it back to Sparrowflight. "Wanna share? The clan can wait,"

Amused, Sparrowflight watched as the first rabbit went scampering off. At once she dashed after it, her long legs carrying her quickly to it, and she sprang forward, pinning it beneath her paws and killing it with a quick bite. Padding back to Whispercloud with the kill in her jaws, she noticed he had caught another rabbit, and put hers down next to his. At his suggestion, her eyes narrowed. "Don't be a mousebrain. That's against the warrior code." Sure, she'd just recently been talking about breaking the warrior code by going to spy on Whispercloud's sister, but this was different. She was far too proud even to consider that. "How about we take these back to camp, then go on a patrol?" she asked, lightening up after a moment. "That way we can eat whatever we catch."

Whispercloud snorted in amusement. "Fine, fine." he smiled at her, and picked his prey up. Padding back to camp, he realized that she wouldn't do that, and he was an idiot to suggest it. But still, you act odd when you're with the one you love, right? Well, he did, anyway. He didn't know about other cats. Or even Sparrowflight, because in truth, he didn't even know her. Sure, he did, but not the real her. Did he? Maybe, but it's not so possible. Did she know him? Perhaps not, but they didn't need too.
