Again, Twitchpaw's fears about being made fun of were dashed against the the rocks, and she stared at the other apprentices in surprise. She hadn't expected them to be so...accepting. Her glare relaxed when Skeletonpaw ignored her twitch, and she sat up a bit straighter, ears pricked forward. Even Mystpaw, who she had NEVER talked to, didn't seem to care! This knowledge sent energy coursing through her young body, and she sparn got her paws and mewed, "I don't have a mentor, but I think we should go do something!" she mewed, agreeing with Skeletonpaw's suggestion. "I'll bet they won't care if all of us go out of the camp and explore. It's not like we're kits anymore!" Her gaze swept the others, wondering if they would agree with her. She wanted to get moving! She glanced over at Sunpaw and inclined her head, mewing, "What about you?"

Mystpaw licked his best friend across the face, and laughed. He really didn't care if Twitchpaw, well, twitched. It was genetic, or something. His mind was going in and out, he was really happy that Skele wasn't training today, but his eyes grew wide with excitement as he heard Twitchpaw's suggestion. The mischievous little cat loved to break rules, and he was aching to do something. He looked over at Sunpaw. "Come on Sunpaw. Don't be a combo breaker." He was only outgoing in small groups, and he was hyper. That really didn't help his judgment.

Sunpaw watched as the conversation turned into a whirlwind of activity as Mystpaw appeared from the shadows of the apprentice's den. Well, it seemed there were more apprentices than he had believed this morning. Hopefully he wasn't the youngest; he had just left the enjoyment as the oldest kit in the nursery. He wasn't ready to return to the bottom of the totem pole. Briefly, the apprentice wondered where his mentor Crossedsoul was. Anxiously looking around, he flicked his tail in a worried manner. True, he wanted to leave camp. Yet he didn't want to get in trouble with his mentor. Hesitating, he looked back up at the trio. "I don't know..." He meowed, still not convinced that this was a good idea. Usually he wasn't this cautious, but with the deputy as his mentor, he knew he had to be good. This was an honor, and not one he wanted to waste.

At Sunpaw's cautious words, Twitchpaw sighed in exasperation. "Come on, scaredy-cat!" she mewed teasingly, sinking into a crouch and leaping toward him in an attempt to pin him to the ground. "Where's your sense of adventure! Not afraid ol' Crossedsoul will hiss at you, are you?" Twitchpaw enjoyed the luxury of having one of the warmest warriors as her mentor, so she knew little about the temper that some other warriors could possess. She couldn't see why they shouldn't explore the territory a little bit! She glanced toward Mystpaw and Skeletonpaw, wondering if they would back her up. She certainly didn't want to go exploring without Sunpaw, but...she wanted to go so badly!

S K E L E T O N P A W [/b] "Come on Sunpaw. It'll be fun just us apprentice taking off to explore the forest."[/b] Her green eyes glittered with excitement and she smiled at Twitchpaw. The other she cat was beginning to warm up now that we had ignored her twitches. I mean it wasn't her fault she could help it right? That would be kind of weird if she did it on purpose.Getting to her paws the calico she cat was about ready to take off and fly around she was so psyched. She had never acted like this before but something was pulling her out to the forest today and it seemed all the more intoxicating with out you mentor tagging along telling you what you can and can't do. Skeletonpaw bounced on her toes, her tail straight up in the air. Who cares if they got caught anyways. The most that could happen was they would have extra apprentice duties or be stuck in camp for a little bit.Nothing too bad.""I'm pretty sure that every new apprentice has snuck out of camp to look around on their own or with friends"[/b] She emphasized the friends part the words rolling off her tongue a mile and minute. Sumpaw, seeing the she-cat leap towards him, hastily scrambled out of the way. Crouching a few mouse-lengths away, he looked at the group with a sigh. "Yes, I am worried. My mentor's temper doesn't tend to be quite as understanding." He meowed, shuffling his paws lightly. For a moment he felt his skin grow hot with shame, then he blinked. His mentor shouldn't get too angry. All they were doing was exploring a bit. That was what apprentices did anyway! A small smile on his face, he rose to his feet. Batting at Twitchpaw, he laughed. "All right, fine. I'll come. But if I get in trouble for this, you guys are going to pay!" He warned.

"Pay, shmay," Twitchpaw mewed, ducking away from Sunpaw's swat. "If we come back with some freshkill, they can't possibly be angry with us, right?" This was kind of a bad thing for her to be suggesting, as she had not had any hunting training with Cedarclaw yet. But maybe they would get lucky, right? Or maybe the other apprentices had had some hunting training. Glancing over at Mystpaw, she mewed, "You up for it, Mystpaw?" Her head jerked to the side twice as her short patience grew even shorter. She as so ready to be going! Maybe they would come across some real foxes instead of the shadowy hallucinations that kept her company.

Mystpaw smiled mischievously when Sunpaw agreed to go. "Sweet! This'll be fun, huh Skele?" He mewed cheerfully. He looked over at Twitchpaw and smiled shyly. Must stink twitching. But it ain't her fault. Let's go! He thought to himself, "Yea! Let's go! I can't wait!" He started walking toward the camp entrance, excitement prickling at his paws. ((OOC: God this sucks. Sorry.))

S K E L E T O N P A W [/b] Skeletonpaw waved her tail at Mystpaw her excitement building by the second. They were going exploring! Sunpaw finally agreed and Skeletonpaw got to her paws her green eyes flashing as she took a quick sweep around the camp. There was no other cat out except for the circle of apprentices ready to go adventuring. Bounding forward, the calico tabby nudged Twitchpaw with her shoulder playfully leaping back and flexing her shoulder muscles. Her eyes sparkled and she grinned as Mystpaw agree to go. "Its settled then!"[/b] She crowed her voice taunt with happiness. Wow she had never been so happy as to just be hanging around with fellow apprentices. Usually Skeletonpaw had been the rude snobby she cat she was supposed to be. Ah maybe she was changing after all. Sunpaw's face stretched into a wide grin as he watched his excited fellow apprentices. Their excitement and happiness was catching, it seemed. Suddenly fueled with energy the ginger tabby rose to his feet, the remains of his fresh-kill forgotten. All he could think about now was the forest that lay ahead of them. Oh, how sudden this rush of energy was. Instead of feeling as if he could go back to sleep, the tom felt as if he could run across the whole of his territory without feeling tired. He knew that, one day, that dream might just be fulfilled. Flicking his tail he trotted toward the entrance, his tail up and his ears perked. Eyes blazing with excitement, he paused in his tracks before looking back at the other apprentices. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go!" He meowed. With that he turned back around and allowed the energy to pick up speed. Soon he was racing past the entrance, ears flattened and paws sending up small puffs of dust that curled in the morning light.

Twitchpaw sprang after her friends, stretching her legs out in an attempt to catch up with Sunpaw. Energy coursed through her, and she bounded toward a pile of boulders and rocks. "You think there will be foxes or something here?" she mewed, glancing around for the other apprentices as she all but ricocheted from rock to rock. There were tons of little crevices here, and she could see a few bigger holes that could house some kind of fox...or at least a rabbit or mouse or something. Coming to a stop on one of the bigger boulders, she mewed, "Look! There's tons of little holes and cracks and stuff! What are you guys waiting for?"
((They don't have to hang out there ^.^ I just kinda said a place))

Mystpaw was following Twitchpaw, noticing she seemed to want to be the leader of this little expedition. The grey apprentice was a bit irritated at this, but thought nothing of it. He only got annoyed when she led them to an area where you could easily break your paw. "We should go to another area, one of us could break our paw in these holes and stuff," He pointed out, trying to get them to go to a safer area. Mind you me this apprentice loves to break the rules... when nobody gets hurt.

Sunpaw's eyes narrowed as he saw Twitchpaw race past him. Pushing his paws and mentally urging himself to go faster, he raced over the forest ground, easily avoiding a small log that lay in his way. Dodging through the trees for Sunpaw, though he might not be the most nimble of creatures on the earth, was easy. Pelt was being flattened by the wind, and his eyes were wide with excitement. To think that he had considered not coming out here! At the thought that he was out without permission he felt a stab of guilt. Yet, if he got back in time, perhaps Crossedsoul would never know. Yes, that's what he would do. For a moment his pride protested the idea, but he ignored his own feelings. Soon the fun was over, and Sunpaw had come to a halt beside the mass of boulders. Looking up, he saw slim Twitchpaw perched on the top, her excited yowls echoing through the forest. Sunpaw hesitated with one paw on a boulder, his other front paw held in the air. Twitching his tail, he called out his agreement with Mystpaw. "Come on Twitchpaw. Let's find somewhere safer to explore. We're not trained, remember?" He meowed, eyes alight with humor.

No one wanted to hang out on the rocks! But they could find such cool things here! Twitchpaw sighed, tail drooping as she bounded down from the rocks to stand in front of the other apprentices. "Fine, fine, but where do you want to go? Let's go already!" she sighed impatiently, looking around for a "safer" place to explore.

Sunpaw could feel his paws itching to run once more. Spinning around, he playfully flicked his tail against Twitchpaw's face before running through the leaves. "This way!" He meowed, laughter echoing back through the forest to the apprentices. He wasn't sure what they could do actually; none of them knew the territory all that well. Besides, they couldn't go far, for fear of crossing the boundaries of their large territory. Well, there's got to be something fun nearby. He thought, suddenly optimistic again. Ears flat against his head and tail streaming behind him, he raced on.
