Meadowstream hobbled out of the medicine cats den, trying to put only a little weight on her broken paw. She winced, but it wasn't as bad as before, the night she had broken it... the night Fadedstripe rescued her. She smiled to herself, blushing even though no one else was around. How silly she was. She blinked in the bright sunlight, sitting down outside the warriors den. She was allowed to move back in today, and sleep there tonight. She was glad of it too. She didn't mind the nice calming smells of the medicine den, but after being stuck in there for the past few days she was alsmot sic kof it now.
She peeked her head inside the den, hoping to find Fadedstripe adn thank him...or to see hi magain? She shook her head. Oh she couldn't possibly fall for him at all, besides he'd never fall for her back. Perhahs they were better as friends. "Fadedstripe...are you in here?" she whispered softly, peering through the dimly lighted cave.

Fadedstripe was running through the grass, smiling. His sister was looking at him playfully. "Silly! Hurry up!" She giggled, and started running through the grass, the butterfly she was chasing stopped and turned to Fadedstripe. His sister was fading, and she opened her mouth, "Fadedstripe?" She asked, only it wasn't her voice... it was...
Meadowstream? The brown warrior opened his eyes, and started to blink the sleep from his eyes. "M..meadowstream?" He yawned, and the beautiful she-cat came into his vision. He blushed a bit, and yawned again. "Hey.. how are you?" He got up, and walked over to her. He licked her on the head, and sniffed her leg. She shouldn't be out of the medicine cat's den, but he was happy to talk to her. His thoughts were in a haze, and he was still very tired.

Meadowstream's eyes lit up as Fadedstripe raised his head and looked at her. She smiled as he walked over, but was suprised when his tognue rasped over her head. She purred softly, not a loving gushy purr, but a friendly welcome. She blinked as he sniffed her leg. "Oh I'm feeling better, the legs a little stiff, but Dawnpaw said it'll be good in a little while, perhaphs another quarter moon before I can patrol or hunt again though." she sighed dissapointedly. She leaned all her weight against the side of the den off her paw. "I just wanted to thank you again for last night, finding me and all." she blushed as she remembered the feeling of being carried on his back. SHe turned her heasd away so he couldn't see.
'It just meant a lot, y'know. You helping me and all." she ended, blinking her pretty eyes at him.

Fadedstripe was fully awake now, and he smiled. "Oh, it was no trouble. I couldn't just leave you there." He told her, eying her broken leg. "At least you'll be able too, keep the upside." He pointed out, it could be much worse. She could have not been able to walk again, or she might have been confined to the elder's den for the rest of her days. He frowned at the thought, he was beginning to like this she-cat and that would've have been a bummer. He shook his head and blinked the thought away. He kept having weird thoughts like that, he didn't know why, and it was bothering him.
Fadedstripe was pondering about what he wanted to do today, and he decided he'd help her around. He couldn't help feeling it was his fault, if he got there sooner her paw might not be broken. The brown tabby walked over to the fresh kill pile and selected a rabbit for Meadowstream. Once he was back at the mouth of the warrior's den he sat it down it front of her. "There you are, miss."

Meadowstream blinked shyly at his response, turning her head away and smiling. She was pleased that they could be friends. She didn't really have many, mostly because she was so shy that she never had the courage to make any friends. But when your stuck in a tangle of roots, its pretty hard not to like the cat who rescues you. Her green eyes were warm as she watched him look at her leg. He looked...concered. She liked that. She purred softly as he trotted off to get some prey.
"There you are, miss."
[/b] he replied, dropping the rabbit at her paws. Her belly rumbled at the smell, she hadn't realized how hungry she was. She smiled at him in a friendly manner. "Thanks Fadedstripe." she murmmered softly. She looked into his eyes, holding them only for a moment before dipping her head and awkwardly settling down with her broken paw out in front of her. She tucked in with her one good paw. "How strange this must look to some cats who don't know what happened to me a few days ago!"[/b] she blushed to herself. But mostly everyoen knew by now, plus her paw was wrapped in leaves to keep it from moving to much.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Fadedstripe noticed her blush, and blushed himself. He frowned a bit and looked away, he hated to blush. The brown tabby looked back again, and his gaze met hers. He smiled a bit, but it only lasted for a split second. "Oh, uhm, right." He said, his voice showed that he was nervous. Why would he be nervous? Maybe, I don't know, but could he like her? It might be possible... but he just met her. Right? Well, doesn't matter. His heart had already been broken, he didn't need that again. Sighing, he looked back at her and smiled, "Well, what would you like to do today?"

Meadowstream finished up her rabbit, and tried hard not to stare at Fadedstripe while he ate. She thought she saw him blushing, but wasn't sure, and dismissed it quickly. She was confused about her feelings, and making up a lie to herself that he liked her would confuse her even more. She sighed contentedly and yawned, her maw opening wide for a split second. She closed it, embaressed she looked away.
"What do you want to do today?"
[/b] he asked, and she blinked in suprise. Fadedstripe was willing to spend time with her when he could be out doing other things? She was glad she had finally felt like she had made a friend. "Ummm well I can't hunt obviously..." she laughed lightly. She looked at him carefully, cocking her head slightly. "I suppose we could go on a short walk, just to stretch out my leg." she suggested hopefully. She wanted to et out of camp for just a little while alone with him.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Fadedstripe smiled at the sweet she-cat, and he laughed a bit when she told him about hunting. "No, I suppose that you wouldn't be able to hunt." He joked around with her, that hadn't been happening lately. The brown tabby had been shying away form cats lately, so why was he being so friendly with her? Was he looking for a friend? Perhaps something more? Maybe, but he wasn't sure. How could he already want to be more then friends? Hadn't they just met? And what about Firepelt? Well, he snapped out of his little debate when she offered to go for a walk. The brown tabby grinned slightly and nodded.
"I'd love to go on a walk with you, but I must eat first, or I might get too tired to come home." He told her, and that has happened before. When he forgot to eat, it was terrible. He was left alone for who knows how long before somebody finally found out he was missing. Guess who found out? Well, it wasn't that important anyway. He went to the fresh kill pile and quickly ate a random item. He wasn't paying attention. Then he walked back and grinned at Meadowstream. "Alright, let's go." He told her, and started walking, slowly, next to the she-cat.

Meadowstream smiled softly and nodded. "Of course you have to eat silly. Or I might have to carry you back to camp like your carried me a few nights ago!"she laughed, her silky voice floating on the wind. Her green eyes sparkled as she watched him gulp down his breakfast. "You don't even look like you know what you ate!" she couldn't keep from laughing again.
"Kay then lets go." she purred as he came to stand beside her. Their fur brushed ever so slightly and Meadowstream flinched back instinctively, shirking away from his touch. "Sorry!" she gasped, her eyes large with surprise. She couldn't even control her shyness at the touch of other cats. Oh he probably thought she was pathetic now.
"Uhhh yes well we'll have to take it slow." she added hastily, trying to cover up her mistake. She started hobbling off toward the entrance of camp, her ears burning with the heat of embarrassment.

Fadedstripe laughed softly, "Yes, I suppose I don't know what I'm eating." She caught that, huh. Fadedstripe licked his chest nervously, he didn't know what to expect today. Would everybody forgive him, would he make a new friend? It was impossible to tell, but he had to keep happy. If people saw he was sad, they'd pick on him again. Sighing, he looked over at Meadowstorm and smiled. "I should hope that you don't have to carry me," He grinned.
Fadedstripe pretended to not notice their fur touching, and looked over at the she-cat. "Hmm?" He asked, grinning over at her. Oh, yes. He had no clue what she was embarrassed about, no he did not. He nodded at her, and continued on, grinning to himself.

The calico she-cat nodded and slowly walked beside him, careful not to brush her fur against him as they walked on out of camp. She stared around the grassy moor territory of ZeypherClan, smiling in the peacefulness. The quietness, the gentle rustle of wind in the grasses. She limped alongside Fadedstripe, glancing up at him every once and a while to make sure he was ok. She enjoyed going on walks so very much, though this may just have been her first one, with a tom, alone.
"I think we'll just stay out a little while, I don't want to overexercise my paw, if you know what I mean?" she asked shyly, stopping and putting all her weight on her three good legs. She looked at his face, noticing the handsome jaw-line, the well fixed eyes, his perfect ears. He was a good looking cat, that was for sure. She stared at him only a little longer before motioning with her tail they should continue on for a little while. Then very tentatively, ever so slowly she leaned into him a little bit, letting her fur mingle with his.
The shock ran through her body once more, but this time she did not pull away. She tried to relax her muscles and not seem quite so tense as she stayed by his side.

A small shiver went through Fadedstripe as their pelts touched. He looked over at Meadowstream and smiled. He leaned toward her a bit, then back. He didn't want her to fall over, especially if it was his fault. "Arlight, but we should get back to camp soon." He pointed out, purring a bit. He noticed how she would look up at him, and he pretended to not notice. The grey tabby felt her weight shift to press against him, and he smiled. "Are you getting tired? Come on, let's go back to camp." He smiled.
