His soft wet fur drooped off of his lingering body as he sat under the dry table in the backyard. His whiskers were twitching and his whole body, shivering with the sheer shards of fierce coldness that haunted his body. Noah licked his fur, but of course, his body became even more cold. The tom muttered under his breath as he desperately tried to warm himself up. Why, just this morning it was a peaceful day, and his housefolk left yet again for whatever reason, so he had decided to go out and stay outside, but, it just so happens to turn out like this, pouring down rain and the only dry, warm spot be beneath the outside table with chairs. He hissed as a big gulp of water crashed into his face as he tried to slip out and into the bushes. Noah curled his tail around his body, hoping for some extra warmth. "Why aren't there any other cats to play with here?" he asked himself oh so lonesomly. He uncurled his tail, bunched up his muscles, and twitched his whiskers, ready to run across the yard and into the bushes where the plants were plentyiful to keep him more dry than the table, and he could see outside his wooden fenced in yard. There was a hole near where he could sleep too. He counted down, "One, two, three," and then took off across the yard, slipping as he came near the garden. Taking deep breaths he bunched up and sat his head down for a nice nap or two to get used to this "Shhhhh......." of the rain.
