NAME// sablepaw AGE// 10 moons GENDER// she-cat CLAN// vertigo DESIRED POSITION// apprentice SHORT DESCRIPTION// inky black she-cat with emerald green optics
DESCRIPTION// with a slender figure to hoist her fur up Sablepaw has a rather beautiful pelt. it is lustrous and always well kept, even in the direst situations. it sleekly frames her with a pretty blackish haze. Flecks of brown, both light and dark filter through the soft-on-the-eyes pale black that is the mass of her pallet. with a creamy white underbelly, soft as newly spun silk, the colors are all gentle and not sharp, giving her all the more a feline and feminine grace. some would say it is her pelt that makes her the most attractive, though shortly followed by her other attributes.
Sablepaw has a build that portrays many things; strength of cats, pride for her linage, grace, agility and all number of other things. the sleek curves she possesses makes her easily identifiable as a she-cat, with her glossy fur stretching over these delicate curves. taut muscle is visible also, revealing her as a capable warrior. but something you wouldn't expect of a vertigoclan cat is also visible; a sleek, streamlined figure, good for swimming. Sablepaw never knew why she gained this addition to her physique but was most pleased with it. thanks to that particular feature she could easily be swift, a strong swimmer and had a huge stretch of stamina. glossy fur stretched over these attractive curves of muscle and femininity make her shine like a brand of hope in the sunlight.
filled with a sharp, assessing look Sablepaw has intimidating eyes that can penetrate through lies and deceit. she constantly uses these to isolate particular cats and put them on the spot, making them give quick, brief and efficient responses instead of long, drawling ones. these eyes show cunning, wit and the quickness of her thoughts and decisions. fierce they could be described as the "eyes of an enemy" or possibly the "eyes of the protector." Who knows, but these eyes are a sharp, strong green that is smooth in color and shape, not filtered in the slightest, corrupted by another intruding color.
PERSONALITY// if you did not know Sablepaw you would most likely take her too literally or too unkindly. why? because her tongue is sharp and decisive, she constantly makes cats almost shrivel with the force of both her tongue and eyes. ruthless but not over-the-top-ly so, Sablepaw usually always thinks before she speaks, so her responses and talk is always reflective and well chosen. Sablepaw considers the ability to communicate a weapon and uses it to her advantage as much as possible. well-spoken, she can often be found with accusation, order, command, decisiveness or warmth edged into her voice.
with both her prowess and fierceness Sablepaw is quite terrifying to behold against her enemies. with two quick claws and teeth always sharp and prepared for battle she is probably just about the WORST cat to get on the bad side of. though she tries her best to keep professional in her hates and likes, Sablepaw is, as all cats are, entitled to her own opinion of others. as she is fair, she is hard to make an enemy, but once you are one, there is something to be made clear;
you are one for LIFE.
Sablepaw is only mortal, and as any mortal cat she has her ups and downs, highs and lows, loves and hates. so yes, she can love, in her courting she plays all manner of cards to her advantage; seduction, arrogance, ignoring, pining, adoration, flirting and of course, emotion playing. not so much that she's a heart breaker, but it is almost as if it is a second nature to her to know and act on how someone else feels toward her. though she has had her friends and so-close-to-mates-its-unreal she has never yet found someone that she could consider that has made her "truly happy" and to be a life-partner with. despite this, she does not lust one either, preferring her own self-induced solitary mood in relationships, Sablepaw seems fully aware of how some toms react towards her, but simply blows it off with a turn of the cheek.
practical, thoughtful, cautious, imploring and fair. these are all ways by which Sablepaw acts, but despite this she cannot resist the urge that is her pride for her clan, herself and her friends. even if she does not truly believe what she says or thinks herself she will always say the best thing possible, though always just out of that personal tone. as she thinks deeply Sablepaw also has an almost serene view on things, this helps keep her lusts and rages and moods down. the optimist. that is what she tries to be, all the time, the strategic optimist. these give her great qualities and she is clearly able to grasp a situation from the brink of disaster and bring cooling thoughts and sooth the worries of distressed fellows.
despite her nature Sablepaw is rarely bothered by her conscience, as she follows it so much to the letter that it is herself. truthful she will always try in what situations it is deemed worthy to say what she thinks, and what her conscience allows her to say. but the times that her conscience will grasp her in its icy grip and tug at her will is heartbreaking for her, because so long she goes with that flow that to fight against it is, by truth, a rip in her very soul.
EXPERIENCE// Sablepaw was born Sablekit, to her gentle mother Fairbreeze and short-tempered, ambitious father Bearfoot. she had a healthy birth but was an unusual lone kit, with no brothers or sisters, dead or alive.
but not long after her birth, when she was but 3 moons old, her mother went out on a patrol, Bearfoot had promised, with a broad smile, to look after Sablekit while she was away. somehow, Sablekit just knew that after that day it would be no more happy families, no more broad smiles and soft laughter and no more nights curled up beside her loving mother.
if Sablekit had prophesied this, she would have had the makings of a medicine cat. but she did not, and it became the irony of truth branded in her mind. Fairbreeze along with another of the cats that had gone out on patrol had been slain by trespassing rogues. too young to know what it meant, Sablekit pleaded with her grieving, downtrodden father, that simply walked away from his daughters pleas.
instead of cherishing what was left of his beloved mate, Bearfoot became easily angry and constantly punished Sablekit. he was furious that his beloved mate was gone and that he was left with this this, as he described it "this RUNT of a kit". i guess it was from this treatment that Sablekit felt no love for her father.
when her father passed away in a border skirmish, Sablekit felt only lightened by the fact. from that day the clan saw her only as an optimist. the day she was made an apprentice she progressed incredibly in her maturity, becoming serious and professional as any of the other warriors. even when she was wrong in her replies she managed to keep a convincing, patient tone, as if she were teaching her mentor.
OTHER// ahh, not my best. but oh well x) [/blockquote]

thank you. {: one more thing though - vertigoclan hasn't got any thunderpaths, so perhaps choose a different fate for sablepaw's father?
