Everything inside her was screaming at her to turn back and return to her clan. Each step she took as she inched closer to the cult sent a burning sensation running up her limbs and making them grow number by the second. It had taken her at least a moon of arguing this out in her head before she actually decided to return. Well, she had no intention of properly returning as she knew she wasn't welcome, she didn't even have any intention of speaking to one of them, she just wanted to do a quick skirt of the camp and maybe watch from a distance for a while then leave again. No harm done. Plus she had also rolled in a patch of lavender before she had gotten too close to the camp to mask her Zephyrclan scent. If they scented that then she would probably be dead before they recongized her, that is if they found her. Then again she would probably be dead anyway if they found her. As she tried to become more aware of her surroundings she realized the scents were very mixed and she recognized very little. It was typical of Delirium to have dens quite spread out and for cats to sleep alone or in small groups, as well as change their sleeping place regularly. Gulping she she-cat hesitantly moved forward, looking around her and keeping her belly close to the ground so that the tips of her fur only just teased the earth. She could still turn back now and return to her safe home. Turn and flee, running as fast as she could until she could curl up in her moss bed next to the other warriors. Then again, it was in her blood to live life with a little bit if risk every now and then.
Suddenly feeling more confident due to her epiphany the she-cat took a few brave steps forward, trying to ignore the numbness that was teasing her limbs. However, as it turned out she was right to be cautious all along. The rock she rested her forepaw on slide from beneath it sending the she-cat lurching forward. Being caught off guard she couldn't react quick enough and flailed with outstretched claws for something to grip with little success. Her claw snagged on a rock at the cliff of the small rocky over-hang and snapped with a sharp crack. Letting out a small whimper her muscles relaxed all at once and she fell to the grass beneath her with a thump and a light knock to her head.
A sleeping black figure flinched as he heard a rumble and he could feel the vibrations through the rock he was sleeping on. His immediate thought was a rock slide and with a sharp cry of panic similar to something a kit would produce he leapt out from the safety of his overhang, only to nearly be hit by a flying cat. A furious snarl started to erupt from within but seemed to get lost on the wind as he came to notice that the cat had been weakened by it's tumble and so gave him tim to mentally prepare himself. Although firstly he looked around him to see if anyone had heard him squealing like a kit but to his great relief there was no others in sight, apart from the obvious. His next instinct was to scent the air as the cat, who he had now figured out to female began to squirm. His nose wrinkled at the scent of the purple herb, but the scent also had a slight hint of one of the clans but it was also mixed with something familiar. Shard's eyes narrowed suspiciously at the female and his eyes bore into her. As he caught sight of her eyes flickering open he took this as his chance to speak. "Get up." He snarled forcefully. However, there was no instant reply. "Get up!" He snarled again, only a little louder this time.
The faint ringing of a very masculine voice could be heard somewhere distant. Her head was buzzing and as she tried to open her eyes the brightness seemed to sting and make her feel as though the was moving even though she knew she was lying on solid ground, at least she hoped she was. The voice came to her again only clearer this time and slowly but surely she began to move. Scrambling for her footing she pressed her limbs against the ground and forced herself upwards and felt herself suddenly lurching to one side but she managed to steady herself in time and suddenly her eyes flashed open to reveal her icy blue orbs. Looking directly across from her the cat staring back at her was much larger than her, more well built than her and had burning amber eyes. It was then the penny dropped. Shard. "Don''t tell me to get up." He spat, her tail lashing slightly as she didn't want to risk upsetting her balance too much after the knock to her head. Spectrelight was always a nice she-cat, kind with a generally good heart but only until you insulted her. After that she stopped playing nice.
Before he realized it he had snarled in response to the she-cats attitude. Taking this opportunity to get a good look at her his immediate though was that he could easily beat her. Then his eyes did a second take and he studied her pelt, and then her eye. She was mostly white with slightly more creamy patches that ran into light brown and silver tabby stripes, with a rust coloured splodge on her nose and cold blue eyes. He knew who she was. He knew what was familiar about her scent. Amber eyes lighting up as he began to stalk forward he knew that this was going to be fun for him. "Little Spectre." He cooed in a baby voice. "I am sure you are familiar with me." He added suddenly, glitter seemingly dancing across his eyes. Scarletsnow was going to have a field day. Delirium could do with a bit more drama now and then. He stood his ground as the she-cat lurched towards him, probably in the hope she would make him flinch, maybe he was wrong and she had no idea who he was but it was as she opened her maw she sealed her fate. It's Spectrelight to you, and how could I forget you? I mean after all you are the little maggot who wanted to be Knife. A deep sigh left his maw. How could be have expected anything different from the spawn of his favorite couple, not that they had any challengers for that position. Now it was his time to lunge forward.
Lifting one of his limbs he aimed a strong blow at the lithe she-cat and sure enough she fell quickly to the ground before him, her heard was still obviously suffering from her fall. Lowering himself to her height he couldn't help but notice her paw and nosed it gently. "Aw, poor baby, how are you ever going to fight me with claws like that?" He whined, putting on a fake she-cat voice. Then again, he seemingly underestimated Spectrelight as she leaped to her paws and cuffed him on the side of his face, claws tearing at his sleek black fur, before she dashed behind him. Oh please. Like he hadn't seen that one before. Quickly he kicked out with his hind legs, catching her chin and sending her once more to the ground. Taking this opportunity he pressed his paws into her fur as he towered over her, pinning her to the ground. Blood dripped from the wound on the side of his face and landed on the she-cat pelt. "Oops, did I ruin your precious fur?" He asked, now using his gentle alluring tone. Slowly his claws edged closer and closer to his throat but before they could do any damage the she-cat let out a blood curdling shriek and he glared down at her. "Nobody will save you." He hissed, waiting just to prove his point.
