The tom smiled slightly as Aquasplash answered him. So she knew his name. That was good to know. For a moment, he stood there, uncertain of what to do now. Still watching her, he tilted his head. She seemed to be looking for something. But what? Was it herbs? A mouse? He wanted to know. Brittlenimbus picked up the squirrel and carefully judged the distance of the stream. It wasn't that big. He expected that he could make it across. The warrior backed up a few steps before running forward and leaping. He sailed over the water, pleased to find he could jump the two tail-lengths or so wide stream. His drifting mind returning to the matter at hand, he dropped the squirrel and bounded forward. "What are you searching for?"

Aquasplash stepped back as Brittlenimbus leapt over the stream. He was carrying a squirrell. Again she wondered about hunting. Warriors might have alot of fun. But at least Medicine cats helped them. She didn't really want to feel left out there. Anyway, her job now was as serious as hunting, the catmint would be used to heal Citrusflower. If now, the whole clan would get ill.
"I'm looking for catmint," She replied, pausing and sitting infront of Brittlenimbus, "Citrusflower has Whitecough,"

Brittlenimbus followed her example and sat, curling his tail around his paws. The she-cat, to him, seemed quite tired. No wonder; they didn't have the easiest job in the clan. Healing as many cats as their clan held each day as well as caring for herself would tire Aquasplash out. Or so he thought. Hearing about Citrusflower, his eyes clouded with concern. He didn't know the warrior that well, but he felt sorry that she was sick with whitecough. Besides, whitecough was more serious than many cats thought it was. Just one bout could bring about a greencough outbreak. "Would you like some help?" He offered.

Aquasplash smiled at his kindness, he would help her? That was very nice of him. Most warriors would go off hunting right now. Though it looked like Brittlenimbus had already done that, thus the squirrell. But the helping... yes. If she got an apprentice sometime this could be better, with more paws things got easier.
"Thanks!" She replied happily, "Do you know what catmint looks like?"

Brittlenimbus smiled once more, his tail curling slightly. She accepted the help offer. He loved to help. Almost as much as being a warrior. Being a warrior was actually quite fun; you got to help cats all the time and hunt and fight and...where was he? Oh yes. Helping Aquasplash. Find catmint. Got it. Hearing her question he tilted his head. "Um...I know it smells good...and it's green." He replied, knowing that this limited knowledge wouldn't help him.

Aquasplash smiled at Brittlenimbus. He had got the rough idea of Catmint. "Yeah, basically," She said, "The leaves are kind of spikey shaped, like nettles. And... it does smell nice. Just try not to eat it," She smiled once more and sniffed under a rather large bush. Searching for the leaves that could surely cure Citrusflower. She hoped she could, it would not be good to have a cat die as soon as she became the medicine cat. She would feel terrible that she could not have saved her.

Brittlenimbus, taking in this information, immediately began to search the surrounding area for the spiky plant. So far he could not catch any scent of it anywhere. The tom moved close to the stream, carefully searching along it's borders. Perhaps it grew near water. "Why search for it here? Isn't it usually in twoleg places?" He asked, looking up. He had remembered hearing about it a long time ago, when he was getting a thorn out of his paw. The current medicine cat had been speaking of this plant being with the twolegs and nowhere else, which was bad.

"Usually," Aquasplash replied, "But there is also a chance it can grow around here. And I dont really want to go all the way to the twoleg place for it if I have to." She sighed, "Its starting to look like I might have to after all,"
She came out from under the bush she was looking under. Where was the stupid catmint? It had to be somewhere didn't it? And why did it usually grow in twoleg gardens. Did they need it to heal? Or did they just like the smell. Stupid stupid twolegs. They should just leave it where it came from. Oh great, she thought, im getting worked up about catmint...

Brittlenimbus continued to nose around. It seemed that the search would be hopeless. Then, suddenly, the wind picked up. His fur ruffled with the breeze, and he brought his head up to take a deep whiff. Then another. Had he smelled it? Checking again, he swiped his tongue around his mouth. Yes, he had. The sweet, addictive smell of catmint had been there. "Smell that?" He questioned, swinging his head toward Aquasplash. He looked around once more, but was annoyed to find that the scent was gone. For a few more minutes he searched, but it was in vain. The warrior flattened his ears before mumbling a sorry. Unwilling to talk much anymore, he picked up the squirrel and raced away.

"Yes," Aquasplash smelt it too. She lifted the head up as the wind ruffled her her fur. When it died down she looked around the bushes. Where did it come from? It must of been around here somewhere. But she couldn't find it, she was about to speak to Brittlenimbus when he ran off. Oh well, she would go back too. She would search again soon, and hopefully Citrusflower wouldn't get too ill. She raced back.
