"...and I was trained by Knife--the red-eyed alpha, remember?--while I was there. He gave me my name, Flamingarrow. I don't know how, but I loved it the second he said it, even if I was named in MaliceClan. I had always dreamed of becoming a Warrior here. Lynxstar picking my name. You looking on proud as always, but it was ok doing it in MaliceClan." the ginger she-cat meowed to the deputy, catching her up as promised. She was home, she was happy, and she was as talkative as ever. Her eyes followed as Lilythorn padded into camp to rest. She would stay out in the territory, and refresh her memory of the beautiful rocks and pine trees.
She padded along, thinking, stopping every now and then to take in the many different sights and scents that made up her beautiful home. No matter what, she would miss MaliceClan. Just the tiniest bit though, and she would never tell a cat as long as she lived. It hurt her to think that some cats wouldn't trust her, with her dissappearance and reappearance in MaliceClan and all that. But, she would rebuild that trust, and make it stronger than it ever was.
Flamingarrow blinked. She had stopped to think about what she would do now that she was home in VertigoClan. She grinned as she realized where she was. She was standing, looking out over the lake from one of the cliffs. She sat down, and looked out over the land and the lake. She was soothed by the cool wind, and the beautiful view. She closed her eyes, peaceful for once.

Boom Boom Boom Boom I want you in my room Let's spend the night together From now until forever Boom Boom Boom Boom I wanna go Boom Boom Let's spend the night together Together in my room
"Gotcha little sucker!" His words gushed out like a broken wound, aniticipation for the suculent flavors to blend in his mouth, oozing and tender, the gentle crunch of tiny bones between strong teeth. Snap snap. Smiling at the thought, he stooped, bending his neck and crumpling his massive frame to delicately scoop up the rock vole, careful not to break it's dainty body. Not yet, at least. Gotta save the best for last, right? Of course. He chuckled softly to himself, his tromping heavy steps were lighter that ever as he practically skipped along the territory. There had to be one spot, just the right place, to eat this delicious reward for fighting like such a beast. He had to at least admit this to himself. cinnamon and spice oh so nice Mmm. Another deliciously inviting scent drifted into his slightly flaring nostrils, making his sensitive pink nose twitch with delight. Next to the amazing activity of eating.. and also fighting perhaps, came admiring she-cats, tasty morsels all in their own selves. Shivering with happiness at his extreme luck, Chasmriver picked up his pace by slight intervals and picked his way carefully down the steep slopes, instantly recognizing Flamingarrow's vivid ginger coat and letting a toothy smile curve over his handsome face, amber lights igniting with excitement.
"Whatchyou doing out here sweetcheeks?" He called out, letting his tail gently sway behind him as he planted himself several stairs above his clanmate.

Flamingarrow's eye flew open as she jumped. "Chasmriver! I'm going to kill you!" she yowled, teasing him. Before she had been taken to MaliceClan, his voice would have sent a thrill through her, but now he was just another one of her clanmates. She flashed a smile at him, before she turned back to the view. "I love it out here. I missed it so much." she mewed happily. She stared out, then stood up and climbed up to the same cliff that he was on. She tackled him playfully, like she would have if she was a kit. She playfully wrestled with him, not using any force at all.

We can dance if we want to We can leave your friends behind 'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance Well they're no friends of mine I say, we can go where we want to A place where they will never find And we can act like we come from out of this world Leave the real one far behind And we can dance
"Well jee, aren't we a bit jumpy? Look what those bastards've all got you doing girlie!" His voice was loud, amusement at her word choice lacing them like a vine, strangling his suave tones into a slight chuckle. FLuffy fox tail, hairs jutting out at every angle like an explosion; it twitched, but only the tip, giving away everything, as did that huge amber gems lighting his face, faceted and shining as he warily glanced upon her lean fiery bodice, rocketing up the mountainside with wicked prescision and then she was flying again, like a freaking bird, right at him. Eyes widening, Chasmriver quickly calculated her actions and let out a short bark of laughter before being crushed into the ground, grunting and slipping out from underneath her, and ramming into her with enough force to at least knock her down, then placed his massive paws calmly upon her shoulders, the contact making him shiver.
And then there she was In platform double suede Yeah there she was Like disco lemonade I smell sex and candy here Who's that lounging in my chair Who's that casting devious stares In my direction
Ignoring the shivers dancing down his rigid back, the tabby warrior, hesitating at first, then quickly, as if he did he fast enough she would perhaps never notice, her declined his skull, bending his neck to reach her cold wet nose of pastel oink with his own, a brief contact, but enough to harold more shivers from his senses. Fearing it, all of it, he quickly leaped off her and onto another smaller cliff. "You know... you've changed Dearie Grace, darlin'." He purred, ragged with rough chuckles rumbling from his throat. Shaking out his pelt, Chasmriver settled down, sprawling out over to rocky stone ground, letting a limb or two dangle over the dangerous edge. A contented sigh ushered itself away from his body, and he smiled. "So talk. Did he rape you?" He grinned at first, then his face became serious. VertigClan she-cat were his girls, not that horny alpha's. The thought induced faint snarls, but they were quickly smothered like hopeful embers beneath a bucket of dust.

Let's just take our time There's nothing else to do What better way to spend the night Than wasting it with you The moon has won the war The daylight waits to end Stay here by my side We'll watch the struggle start again
She laughed happily as he knocked her over. When he put his paws on her shoulders, and he touched his nose to her's, her heart stopped. She swallowed nervously--trying to make this nervousness stop--but it didn't help. Why am I acting like this? I'm over him! she thought, desperately searching for an answer. In a way, she knew she had never gotten over him comepletely, and in a way, she knew his actions had an effect of their own. She hoped it was just his actions.
I need you now and forever So stay right here with me Don't ever leave Love was kept from me like a secret And I swore that I was through Until you, until you The city settles down I watch you as you sleep There's a silent celebration for Every breath you breathe Now this all makes sense With you as company I left all I knew and found A better part of me, yeah
"So talk. Did he rape you?" he asked, from a another cliff. She gave him a puzzled look, but then she knew what he was talking about. "He isn't like that." she managed to choke out, realizing she was protecting the tom that had brought so much terror to the Clans, and her. She tried again, "He really isn't like that, Chasmriver. He trained me, and I don't think he ever dreamt of doing that to me." she replied truthfully, and she looked at Chasmriver with grateful eyes. She was happy that Knife hadn't saw her like that. Like another she-cat to mate with for fun.

It’s my heart you’re stealing It’s my heart you take It’s my heart you’re dealing with And it’s my heart you’ll break
It’s my heart you’re taking It’s breaking bit by bit It’s my heart you’re dealing with But you don’t know about it
If you’d feel like I feel And if you’d know what I know I don’t think you’d ever play me I know you’d never play me
It’s my heart you’re stealing It’s my heart you take It’s my heart you’re dealing with And it’s my heart you’ll break
If you’d feel like I feel And if you’d know what I know I don’t think you’d ever play me I know you’d never play me
I don’t think you’d ever play me I know you’d never play me
Suddenly, his eyes flashed, his hearted hammered, wahmming into the barrier that is Chasmriver's ribcage, the slender bone arcs the only thing stopping his heart from leaping free of his broad chest and tumbling to it's gory death. He saw it in her bright green eyes, he saw it all and narrowed his own, accusitory, burning hot with pain and betrayal. Ooh the little she-cat, looked like she had a little crush, what's this? Not only a crush, but one on Knife? That horrible alpha? Of course that's what he was planning you stupid ditz! Chasmriver's lips pops open to make a sharp comment, but he restrained himself and snapped them shut again. Instead of taking his wrath out on Flamingarrow, he ground his long tiger claws into the earth, seeking sanctuary from this she-cat's erratic ways. Who could judge her next move? Kidnapped by the murders, then she befriends him? It was a little much for Chasmriver, all a bit too much. "Um. Oh, look at the time, the sun will be up and blazing soon, I really should be scurrying, catch you around bye." He muttered as quick as his lips could swallow the mumbling words, cascading too-fast from his maw. Afraid of himself and the rage building inside of him, Chasmriver shook out his pelt and dashed up the sheer stone wall and into the forest. By the time he was out of Flamingarrow's earshot the young tom was freely letting snarls of fury tear themselves from his throat, shaking his head like a furious stallion, galloping through his domain. The nerve of that girl! Deciding he need to kill something rather badly, Chasmriver slunk and faded casually into a hunters crouch, taking down a large hawk and settling himself into a tree's niche to eat away his worry and hatred from MaliceClan.
I tried to do handstands for you I tried to do headstands for you Everytime I fell you on yeah everytime I fell I tried to do handstands for you But everytime I fell for you I'm permanently black and blue, permanently blue for you

Why did you go, why did you leave why did you take your love from me What did I do, what did I say, why did you take your love away Why did you go, why did you leave, why did you take your love from me Something I said, something I've done, why did you take your love away
"Chasmriver!" she called, knowing he would ignore it. "What did I do...?" she asked herself in a whisper. She was hurt, and she wanted to talk to him, and him only. He was her closest friend; her closest anything. She ran her words over in her head again and again. Then it hit her. She had sounded as if she loved Knife. She opened her mouth, scenting the air desperately for Chasmriver. She rushed up the steps, following his scent trail into the the pine forest. "Chasmriver!" she called, her voice desperate and sad. She needed to fix this, fast.
I've been single, been lonely, and hating every second of it baby I can't sleep right, one mo' night, cause I miss the lovin' from my lady I would give up almost anything to get you back into my life Baby I'm sorry for whatever I've done and I want you to be my wife
She spotted the brown tabby, and relief flooded over her. "Chasmriver! It's not what it sounds like! I never meant to sound that way. I don't love him. Please... I'm sorry." That was all she managed to say before she began to cry. Tears poured down her face, and she felt horrible. She was sorry, and she was worried he wouldn't believe her.
What's the problem, can we talk baby – I thought our love was real and true You can tell me, I'm all ears girl – There's nothing we can't get through Whatever the problem is we'll work it out, don't break up a happy home Life is nothing without love to share and I don't want to be alone

You are all the same Gilded and absurd Regal, fast to blame Rulers by lost word Men above men, or prats With your high hats You priest, you mullah so high You pope, you wise rabbi You're invisible to me Like vapour from the sea
"Chasmriver!" Yeah you, y' little self centered pile o' dung, get over yourself, man! As soon as his name was called, echoing idly through the empty evergreen forest, thick with suffocating shadows, conforting in their desolate peace. Far off, he heard a patrol, hunting, probably, since border patrols were hardly ever put in place for VertigoClan. Disipating the sounds with a curt flick of his ears, he exited the tree's hollow with amazing agility, if anything he was more spooked, for he mellowed out within his own little reverie, cutting away his foolish thoughts. He sighed with relief as Flamingarrow, sure enough, burst into his little crowded area of forest, weaving her way through the trees with eyes like little moons of chartruse, planted into her beautifully feminine face. Still, he glowered, 'M' marked brow furrowed slightly, a crease between his eyes, hardly noticable but there, all the same. But as her eyes only grew bigger, his face softened, and he padded into her, curling his neck around her and resting his head between her shoulder blades, wrapping his body around her smaller frame and breathing slowly. "I know, I know. Forgive me, I lost my temper. It's so fresh, the first battle... I almost took him. I nearly killed him... and vise versa. I was so close. But this battle, I never got a nip at him, he ran off somewhere, little coward. That other tom I battled, the big black one. He's leader now." Chasmriver sighed quietly, still breathing in her tangy scent, reminding him of the nest of birds mixed with herbs like rosemary and cinnamon, grateful for her presence, he breathed deep. "Lynxstar lost a life too. I'm not sure MaliceClan is any better than I percieve them, and you can't convince me they are, after what they've done, but all long as you aren't turning a rebellion on the rest of us, then we're.. cool." He mumbled the word cool, for lack of better vocabulary.

"I would never dream of saying they're better than us." she meowed quietly. She didn't want to disturb the moment of peace between her and Chasmriver. She was happy to be close to him, and didn't realize her feelings toward him had never changed. She did not realize how he felt either; she was oblivious to it all. The feel of him comforting her, apologizing... She loved it all. Every little thing made her happier, and at that moment, her life couldn't have been more perfect. "What was it like with me... gone?" she asked him quietly.

I'm gonna fight 'em off A seven nation army couldn't hold me back They're gonna rip it off Taking their time right behind my back And I'm talking to myself at night Because I can't forget Back and forth through my mind Behind a cigarette And the message coming from my eyes Says leave it alone
It was a thick, deep rumbling deep down in the very pits of his gullet, vibrating slightly, but it lit up his eyes; a distant thunder. A grin creased his maw, and the thunder rose, rising up and up, before bursting between his bared teeth. Instantly the rumble turned into soft chuckles, jarring his bodice with faint trembles of amusement. Away he flowed, steps hesitant but free. "Oh my dear, I know you wouldn't dream of mentioning them or how lovely and sweethearted and wonderous they are. Elsewise I figure you know I'll stuff your tail in your mouth and out your ear." he smiled mockingly and flicked his tail, brushing her moving lips; the tips of the hair, tickling her flirtatiously. "Oh good StarClan, it was miserable. There was Lilythorn being yelled at by Lynxstar 'cause she couldn't get over herself, all mourning, ignoring everything. Abysspaw, angry at me for being angry with you. Me, angry with you 'cause you fought like an utter wimp and still you can't kill a cat, but that's aside the point. Plus I was pretty sad, I mean, I thought you were dead. One, because I couldn't defend you properly. Two, I worried everyone thought so too, and three, well, I think we already established it, but you fought like a ninny the last battle and couldn't defend yourself." The uncontainable, hopelessly unromantic chuckles rose once more in his throat, jiggling his great mass until the tom swallowed them down. Chasmriver smiled and trotted off. "See you in camp, lady cat." There's my baby, lost that's all Once I'm begging you save her little soul Golden years, golden years whop whop Come get up my baby. . . . c h a s m to c a m p . . . . .

Lights go out and I cant be saved Tides that I tried to swim against Have bought me down upon my knees Oh I beg, I beg and plead Singing Come out of things unsaid Shoot an apple off my head And a trouble that cant be named A tigers waiting to be tamed
She let out a small yawn, and blinked a few times. Her eyes followed his steps, and decided to head back to camp too. She shook her head, shaking away sleep. "Wait for me!" she almot called, but she knew it t'was too late. She lifted her paw into the air, and her stomach growled mid-step. She grumbled for a moment, then sat still, and pressed her ginger fur to the green ground. Her eyes were the only thing that blened into the brigh green, and her fur popped out colorfully. A silly little mouse wandered towards her blindly. "Nice move. You'd think some prey would be smart enough to notice me." she whispered to it, then pounced. She killed it with perfect percision, with her paw snapping it's neck. She ate it quickly, almost quick enough to not taste it, and then she was off again. She raced into camp, happy to be back, and to be staying.
..camp..
Confusion that never stops The closing walls and the ticking clocks Gonna come back and take you home I could not stop, that you now know Singing come out upon my seas Cursed missed opportunities Am I part of the cure Or am I part of the disease

Shatteredrose swished her tail, drawing in the scents of the forest. Turning to the apprentice behind her, she meowed, "I'll go this way, and you go that way. We'll meet up back here." She indicated the directions with her tail. Nodding once to him she turned and padded off into the undergrowth. Once out of sight, she let her pretence slip and her shoulders drooped. Acting normal in front of the apprentice had been hard work, but she couldn't make him suspicious of her. She didn't need that. The smell of a squirrel hung in the air, fairly fresh. She tracked the creature for a few minutes then stopped. Another scent, cat-scent, had overlapped it. Shatteredrose stopped dead and realised that she recognised this scent. "No," she whispered, eyes wide.
