Now the sky could be blue I don't mind Without you, it's a waste of time Could be blue I don't mind Without you, it's a waste of sky Could be blue, could be grey Without you I'm just miles away Could be blue I don't mind Without you it's a waste of time
Driftingice smiled back. If anything it was a timid showing of teeth, but not forced. Crypticstreak was likable, but she wouldn't be tricked once more, oh no. Drifty kept her walls down and her gaurd up,a dn just let that happy little grin play across her perfect mask, and she followed him to the fresh kill mound, holding her white whip just a little bit higher, her eyes just shown a little bit brighter. Driftingice bend to daintily snatch up a small bird, and settled down before him to nibble at it, cautious. Eating with others always made her nervous, what if she drooled? She was almost positive something idiotic like that would happen, so she carefully picked at the morsel, missing Harvestmoon all the more. Harvestmoon would drool and snuffle and mow down her meal, and make Drifty seem like a graceful deer as she ate. The white she-cat sighed, adding vocals to make it seem like a sigh of relief, but it wasn't, however grateful she was for Crypty's company.

Crypticstreak swallowed a chunk of his prey and tilted his head to the side. "Its ok if you are nervous about the battle you know, I am sure you aren't the only one, I am even a little nervous, but I have lots of faith." He meowed and watched her for a moment before tearing another piece of meat off his prey and chewing it this time before swallowing it. He did not like to sit on his own, and enjoyed the presence of other cats around him often. He would not be able to sleep alone at night like Larkstar did every night. His tail flicked playfully behind him. Well if he wasn't optimistic about the fight he might as well be crying about it. In some cases it was better if you didn't know when a battle was going to take place, as you would not have time to get scared or nervous, but being prepared was a large part of having a battle, and Maliceclan would not be prepared.

She dipped her head solemnly, taking her medicine cat's request into account, thoughts churning rapidly, spinning and whirling only to be lost in the depth of her mind. "You may stay if you wish Screechgale, I expect at least one of the other leaders will bring their medicine cat for the gravely wounded." It wasn't exactly the honest truth, but any cat could see the worry in the singapura's gray gaze. It was better not to expose her to more trauma.
Almost silently she scanned the camp, deciding it was nearly time to leave. The other clans would be impatient, ready to get this over with, to take back the mountain lake once and for all. Larkstar pivoted around, finding a central point where she could see all the cats milling around and yowled, "ZephyrClan! I trust you're all ready and rearing to go, for we can't waste any more time. I have confidence that tonight we'll emerge victorious and reclaim our dignity." There was an almost ambitious gleam in her frigid blue eyes, masking the fear and concern she had for her clan. But doubt would bring them nowhere, and so she surged on ahead, leading her clan with a relaxed, headstrong stride.
Dear StarClan, let this all end well. [/blockquote]

Screechgale dipped her head respectfully to her leader and whispered, "Thank you." She was glad not to take part in the battle. Stretching her neck as far is it could reach she gazed around, checking to make sure the young apprentices had stayed and to see who else she would have to look after and who would stay and help her. She was not looking forward to possibly being the oldest cat in camp.
