Tourmalinepaw lazily rolled out of his nest at the sound of . Suddenly he realized that it was the sound of kits. He jumped now knowing that kits must be out of the den. He raced to play with them. Though was very strong, he was also very sensitive and , that is why he could sense other's emotions. He also ADORED kits. They are so cute and playful. Even though he was just apprenticed, he was much bigger than these kits. As he trotted over to he noticed that there was hardly anyone in the clearing, he thought that they must all be on patrols or sleeping still.
He sat next to , both of them staring lovingly at the 3 kits when suddenly a wave of fear and anger washed over him. He snapped his head around to face her and whispered urgently, "Something is wrong, keep your kits close to the nursery in case they need to go in there in a hurry." He looked around curiously to find that he could smell , as his normal smell, but than with the smell of fear, and with the scent of anger. Something was wrong out in the territory. She decided not to wait around to find out what it was. She bolted out into the territory.
Tourmalinepaw to terra.

Ghoststar made her way slowly into camp, dragging the dead Zodiacteller by the scruff, with the help of Nettlepaw, who was having difficulty. She dropped the tom and looked around her, embarassed as to what the clan thought, that their leader could not protect her warriors? She suddered and looked to Nettlepaw. "Go to the medicine cats den, you need to be seen to." She meowed, there was no questioning her tone. She needed to think. She left Nettlepaw standing there and went to sit down in her den.
Nettlepaw dropped the dead warrior and nodded, he turned and padded away to the medicine cats den, without looking to see the cats that were in camp.

Stainedwater arrived at camp and he quickly padded over to the medicine cat's den to find Gyrphonflight. "Heya Gryphonflight! I found some marigold stems!" The sunshine bright tom gently put down the leaves that were holding the stems. "Hope you don't mind if I also have the flower part of the marigold," he meowed as he unwraped the leaves which revealed some marigold stems and the flowers in a seperate place. The tom smiled happily.

~Gryphonflight~
Skidding into the camp the large silver tom looked around worriedly. He didn't see Ghoststar but decided to go to his den and await contact there. Nettlepaw was in his den and the medicine cat's eyes searched his pelt for wounds. Sighing a bit he padded into the den and gave the apprentice's fur a quick lick before pushing the Marigold and Feverfew into their places in his herb stores.
"Where is Ghoststar and is she alright?" Gryphonflight asked in his honey sweet voice echoing inside the spacious den. His head turned as Stainedwater entered the den. His gleaming yellow gaze brightened imidiatly as he saw the flowers and stems of Marigold. "Perfect Stainedwater thank you so much!"Gryphonflight beamed and once again bumped heads with the warrior. Scooping up the precious plants he quickly sorted then into their slots.

Nettlepaw sat watching Gryphonflight as he busied himself in the den. "I think she is in her den, she told me to come here." He said. He plopped down near the edge of the medicine cats den, in the hope that a cat would not trip over him. "I don't know if she is ok, she seemed pretty scary to me." He meowed and shook his head slightly. He began to lick his shoulder, it was not bleeding, but he had felt the blow right through to the bone, it was badly bruised. As he sat blood trickled down from the cuts on his belly, but he did not notice.

Stainedwater looked at the damaged Nettlepaw had when he arrived at the medicine cat's den. He frowned for awhile but then he was cheery as usual. "I hope she is. But meanwhile," he smiled, "let go of our fears and start a new day!" The tom let out a strange pose that made him look a little weird. He looked at the cats that were staring at him and somewhat embarrassly settled down. "Am I being too weird for you now?" he asked. Stainedwater let out some chuckles. "Weeeell, anything else I can do?" changing the subject.

Amethystoculi sashayed into the clearing and stopped dead in her tracks. Letting out a gasp of horror she then rushed over to Ghoststar. "What happened?" she shrieked looking at the lifeless body of Zodiacteller.

~Gryphonflight~
A smile on his face Gryphonflight gathered to himself a assortment of herbs and carried them to Nettlepaw. "Alright Nettlepaw you're first. I know Ghoststar would want you treated before I leave to go see to herself." Gently grooming away as much of the blood as he could the large silver tom paused and called softly to Stainedwater. "Take some of the Marigold and chew it up good, we need to clean out these scratches both the petals and the leaves please. . . I know it won't taste the best but it will keep Nettlepaw from getting any infection from those flea bitten cats they ran into." Gryphonflight knealt as best a cat can and carefuly took a poppy flower from his stores. He shook out two seeds and picked them up on his pawpad. Holding them out to Nettlepaw he mewed. "It'll kill the pain and you need to rest. . don't worry I can get you up before Zodiacteller's farewell if you wish."
The medicine cat craned his neck to try and see into the clearing. It was impossible. With a sigh he licked his shoulder fur and gathered together what he figured Ghoststar would require. 'Marigold, poppy seeds won't do I'll bring her some chamomile instead. She should probably get something to help her strength.' Claws well sharpened by gathering barks and digging out roots scooped up a fat chipmunk. He slit open the prey's belly and daintily cut some ragwort pushing it into the meal he set aside the medicated morsle and padded back to Nettlepaw. Nosing his good shoulder he gestured for the apprentice to lay back. Swathing a giant paw in thick white cobwebs Gryphonflight applied the spider silk to Nettlepaw's shoulder and stomach with practised ease. "Where else did they hurt you Nettlepaw?" He asked calmly as he finished and stepped back. His head tilted as he heard a comotion out in the camp and he cursed himself inwardly. Amethystoculi and probably others were begining to find out what had happened. He needed to get out there and try and sooth the situation. He swiped a large slick dock leaf from where it hung in a cobweb sort of netting and wrapped his herbs tightly up. Gryphonflight thickly covered his right fore-leg with cobwebs and picked up the medicated chipmunk . He laid the almost heavy bundle at the entrance to his den and waited to see if Nettlepaw needed anything further.

Nettlepaw bent froward and licked the poppy seeds up from Gryphonflight's pad. "Yes please wake me then." He meowed, trying to keep the pain from entering his meow, but he was in good hands now. He lay down at Gryphonflight's paw touching his good shoulder lightly. "Thats it, the other wounds are just sore ones." He meowed and began to lick his paw in an act to comfort himself. Everything had gone so quickly, the strange cats, fetching Ghoststar. Now that he had time to spare to himself he realized that he really was tired, on top of everything he had probably never run as fast in his whole time of living, this would be a day he would never forget. He opened his maw to let out a yawn and curled up.

Cloudpaw and Moonpaw, upon returning to camp, had gone for a quick nap in the apprentices' den. Their sleek furry bodies were snuggled up together, flanks gently rising and falling to the sound of their slow, relaxed breathing. Cloudpaw was the first to open her eyes, pale yellow-green orbs blinking open as she pulled herself carefully away from her sister. Padding out into the centre of the camp she immediately noticed that something was wrong. The scent of blood was in the air. And a cat was lying ominously still on the ground a little way in front of her. Cloudpaw was about to turn and head swiftly back into the apprentices' den when she realised that Moonpaw had also awoken and was standing behind her. "What's going on?" the black she-cat asked. Cloudpaw stood to one side, and watched as Moonpaw's face twisted into a mask of horror. Rushing forward, she stopped next to the body of her dead mentor. "Zodiacteller," she whispered. Glancing wildly around she yowled, "What happened?"

Stainedwater quickly chewed up the marigold. He made a strange face since he was tasting the bitterness of the marigold. The warrior held that face until he finished chewing. "I need a trip to a puddle later on. Man that was bitter."
--
Puritypaw shyly padded out of the appentice's den. She glanced around to find her mentor. Quietly, the she-cat looked around the camp. A smiling tabby tom was at the medicine catt den. "Ah. St-Stainedwat-ter..." she shyly called out.
--
Stainedwater turned around to see his small and yet so cute apprentice. "PURITYPAAWW!" the tom warmingly and loudly welcomed. He quickly looked at Nettlepaw. "Oh, I'm sorry. Please excuse me for being annoyingly loud. I was just expressing myself," he apologized. "If you want me to fetch anything I would be happy to. Since Puritypaw and I will be off to the terra for some training." The tom smiled at everyone and teased the shy apprentice.

Nettlepaw was close to sleep, but then he heard Stainedwaters loud rumble sound above him. He was about to say something, but he accepted the warriors apology. He was about to lower his head to get back to sleep again, when he heard a quiter meow, Cloudpaw's. "Cloudpaw." He called. He wanted to see her, how he wished he was not looking like this, stiff, and covered in spider silk. He looked at the entrance of the medicine cats den and hoped to see her sweet face there any second.

Cloudpaw flicked her tail over her sister's shoulder for comfort. She didn't say anything, as she had never been good with words and couldn't find the right thing to say at this moment. She felt the loss of Zodiacteller almost as badly as Moonpaw did, as he had been like a second mentor to her. Speaking of mentors, Cloudpaw needed to find where Ghoststar was and ask her if Moonpaw would be getting a new mentor. In times of crisis, Cloudpaw remained calm and so she had to look after her sister as much as possible. First, however, there was something she had to do.
Scanning the camp, her eyes fell on the medicine cat den, where a pale head could be seen. Rushing over she exclaimed, "Nettlepaw!" Are you okay?" The young tom had cobwebs all over him, and Cloudpaw hoped these were his only injuries. "What in StarClan's name happened?" she asked as she rubbed her cheek against his.

Nettlepaw's eyes lit up as he saw her shape approaching. "I was in a scuffle in the territory." He began and couldn't stop himself purring when he felt her fur against his. "Ghoststar went to protect Zodiacteller from some stupid flea infested furballs, so I helped her, Ghoststar could have killed them, but they fled." He said with a his. Cowards they were. He was still sore, but the pain began to mildly fade at Cloudpaw's presence. He looked up to see Gryphonflight. "I am sure Ghoststar will need you now, I will be fine." He meowed.

Cloudpaw couldn't help purring in unison with Nettlepaw. He always made her feel calm, despite everything that happened. "You must have been so brave," she murmured to the tom. "Fighting them off." She briefly stopped purring as she remembered her sister, and glanced out of the den. Moonpaw was hunched up next to her dead mentor, mourning him silently. "Who killed Zodiacteller?" she suddenly asked Nettlepaw, a fierce look in her eyes - not directed at him of course. "I'll make them pay." Moonpaw didn't deserve to go through so much pain.
