Massive paws were nimble and tender, however tough and thick the pads were, grace flowed in every movement on the massive, looming lynx-like she-cat, her dull gray-amber lights shimmering happily. Gatherings were always the best time of the moon, especially since peace was so common now amongst the four clans. By now, the omen from Aspenfrost, so long ago, was gone from her thoughts. Glancing over her tawny shoulder, she dipped her head to Greysky, whom at first she'd felt bad for separating from her mate, but got over it, knowing the she-cat would enjoy herself. The rest were all crowded around, new couple Northwind and Lostdesire, plus Emeraldfire, and her own apprentice Flamingpaw, her crush Chasmpaw, and the sullen Mistakenpaw, all of them were trailing she and Lilythorn, next to Dawnfire, who'd decided to leave Featheredpaw at camp, incase of any complications with the pregnant Radienteclipse. Sighing happily, Lynxstar and her clan swiftly picked their way over ZephyrClan's meadows and streams, pausing for a moment to lap up some of the cool glacial water, soothing them. Lynxstar nodded curtly, and raced off again, knowing they'd be first. It was only twilight, but she always liked to be early. VertigoClan filed into the hollow dug through the hill, crouching to slither beneath the glacier, leaping up to seat herself on the massive cliff in the dimly lit cavern, waiting for the other three clans and leaders to join her.

lostdesire padded alongside northwind, following lynxstar's lead. they were on their way to the gathering, to well, discuss the current unfortunate happenings. were all of them linked? lostdesire shivered, afraid of what could happen. or maybe it was the cold wind that blew through her fur. losty turned her face and pressed her muzzle into northwind's to comfort herself. she followed the body of vertigoclan cats as they reached the gathering place, and knew something important would soon happen. somehow, her and northy would make it through. she sat down and looked around, searching for opportunity.

A serenade of cricket chrips echoed troughout the vast moor as the beige she-cat padded along, carefree and lighthearted. The evening was tranquil, picturesque, and as the leader picked her way through meandering glacial streams, brown paws dappled with water, her spirits were lifted. Larkstar paused, lifting her muzzle in the air, and parted her jaws ever so slightly. VertigoClan; they had made it here first in spite of ZephyrClan's distance advantage. Resuming her normal pace she continued on, pawsteps in the imposing shadow of the glacier. Just behind her Wreathedmoon copied her stride; after all, he was the deputy, and he had to come along, regardless of any spats with the clan drama queen. Of course it hadn't even crossed her mind to invite Harvestmoon OR Driftingice. They'd be gossiping about her right now, glaring daggers behind her back, but she couldn't let that bother her. They were big girls, they'd work it out. Trailing behind was the medicine cat, diminutive singapura frame a standout, and a pawful of warriors including the trusty Shockleaf, Crypticstreak, Sapphireshard and her apprentice Shadowedpaw, and Hawkstorm. Gingersky and Snowflight followed, mumbling something together, and the leader's own apprentice Maskedpaw, with a content grin on his face as always.
Without even realizing it she had ducked into the cavern's entrance, a chilly breeze creeping under her pelt. VertigoClan was spread out on a small section of the cave floor, chatting casually to pass the time, and Lynxstar had seated herself on a lofty ledge. Larkstar joined her with a swift leap and nodded curtly to her elder. "How's the prey running?"

Lynxstar beamed when she spotted long shadows dotting the cavern floor, signifying another clan had arrived, but hopefully not Tearstar. SInce the small war between VertigoClan and the last leader, their friendship had been shattered, though Tearstar and Whitedeath weren't bad, she'd rather not be alone with them, to save herself from the awkwardness, at least. She let out a sigh of relief when the mellow, friendly Larkstar showed. When the pale she-cat joined her on the cliff, Lynxstar smiled in a friendly, but almost curt, unsure manner. "Oh, prey is wonderful. The mice and voles and squirrels are hearty because of the snow, so in winter, they hardly hide, but alas, it's spring," She purred. "Finally. But I'm sure it's been spring in ZephyrClan for a while. So how is all in your clan?" --- The massive, muscular warrior's graceful steps carried him after his leader faithfully, he couldn't help but feel more devoted to the gorgeous feline at his side. If Lostdesire asked him to slaughter all of ZephyrClan, he shamefully admitted to himself, that he would probably go forth and attempt. His love had grown, and grown, and bloomed. Massive petals of affection shaded them from all other issues, including Radienteclipse and Emeraldfire. He hadn't spoken to either of them since the news. He grimaced at the very thought. Northy sighed happily and stuffed his cold, wet nose in his mate's ear, striving to see that radient smile of her flourish in his sight.

Ghoststar padded slightly ahead of her clan, anxious to get to the gathering, her quick paws pushing her further forward. The strong winds ruffled her silver fur, lit by the moonlight. She paused to look over her shoulder and sighed. She was being paranoid, or was she? Should she risk it? "Celestialclan, hurry along." She called, with a raised voice. Nettlepaw was the first to push through the undergrowth after her, then the rest of the clan slowly followed on. She turned and started on at a slower pace. She felt a cool breeze send chills down her spine as she stepped under the lake, two clans were already here. She led her clan into the cool cave and made her way over to join the leaders. She took a seat beside them. "May I tell my news first?" She asked in quite a commanding tone, it was important, yet she did not intend to order the other leaders around. "It is important." She added. She would feel better, when her news was off her chest, when the other clans knew what had happened, and could make their own decisions about what she thought. If they chose to ignore it then they may, but it was all that she could happen to think about, what she had dreams about. Her gaze absently flicked from Lynxstar, to Larkstar and back.
Nettlepaw stood in the entrance to the gathering cave, taking in every slightly familiar detail. He had only ever been to three gatherings, unlike other cats who would have been to many more, the surroundings were somewhere in between unfamiliar, and familiar to him. He padded in after the rest of his clan and halted near the center. He felt more proud to be here this time, he was almost a warrior now, at the next gathering he could hear Ghoststar telling them all of how he was Celestialclan's new warrior, he would get his 'fifteen minutes of fame' it would be less, but it would be his moment of glory. He was proud, not shy, and it would be a joy to him to be noticed by all the cats in the other clans that were attending the gathering. Feeling lonely he looked over his shoulder, where he did not see Cloudpaw, with a sigh he padded off to find the sweet she-cat.
Serenewinter raced after Lynxstar and Lilythorn, as Vertigoclan got closer and closer to the gathering. It was usually pleasant to listen to what the other clans had been doing, what new warriors there were. It was only just New Leaf, and it was still cold in the cave underneath the lake, she felt a small shiver run through her as she padded into the cave after Lynxstar. She looked over her shoulder to check that her apprentice, Mistakenpaw, was following, which he was, so she was happy. Who knows how he felt about being at a gathering. She did miss Radianteclipse standing by her side, it was strange how they got on, she being the younger, yet more in control one, Radianteclipse being the older, more fun one. She was really happy for the grey she-cat though, so glad that she was happy now. Her thoughts began to lead to Darkfog. Such a misunderstood tom, why did everyone always have to give him a hard time? She felt herself strangely defensive for the tom.
Crypticstreak padded into the clearing, flanking Sapphireshard, his good friend. He drew a tongue, over his black mustache, and watched as his leader left the clan, to join Lynxstar, the leader of Vertigoclan. He padded off to get a good place to sit and listen to the leaders sharing their clan news. Taking a seat, he watched the two leaders talking, soon to be joined by the silver Ghoststar. She looked very serious compared to the other leaders. He studied her carefully, but she did not show any signs of giving away what was making her so anxious. he would have to wait to find out, just like every other cat, although, maybe if he asked a Celestialclan cat, they might know. He was nosy and so standing up he searched the clearing for a Celestialclan cat, Nettlepaw was the first one he noticed. "Hey! He called to the apprentice in a friendly tone.

A slight frown creased in Lynxstar's broad flat mask, eyes glittering strangly as she watched Ghoststar appear in an urgent huff. Flicking her nub of a tail, the other leader sighed. "Ghoststar," She mewed to the older she-cat. "It really wouldn't be polite to begin before Tearstar arrives, and the moon has not even risen. I think you can speak first, but please, just wait a moment. Let the warriors mingle a bit." She meowed patiently, hoping the silvery she-cat wouldn't become touchy or anything. They had enough of that coming from TempestClan. --- Chasmpaw's massive, lean frame could be seen weaving through the crowd of the now filled cavern, the light low, he was thankful for the ability to see in the night and the dark, especially as the sun set. Still, he could see all the friendly faces around him, gleaming with happiness at the Gathering, and smiled in spite of himself. The tabby waved his tail and chuckled, making his way over to the smaller, but equally aged tom, Nettlepaw. "Hey there," He grinned.

Whitedeath breathed in deeply, taking in as much air as she could then exhaling it slowly. She had to stay calm; this was her first Gathering as a leader, and she had to break the news to everyone present. With her Clanmates behind her, she padded forward to sit beside the other leaders. Dipping her head to them she was acutely aware that she was the most inexperienced of them all, and a lot of her confidence evaporated. She didn't believe herself that she was a born leader, but she would have to lead, for she wasn't a coward and she had to accept the challenge that lay ahead of her. She had heard Ghoststar's request to speak first, so she remained silent, avoiding the gazes of the cats around her.
Sapphireshard padded alongside Crypticstreak, sitting near him when he had settled. He called the name of an apprentice, and she turned to see who it was, momentarily distracted from the arrival of TempestClan. She noticed a white apprentice padding after Nettlepaw, and gave her a friendly nod. Turning back around she noticed that Tearstar wasn’t there, instead the deputy Whitedeath had taken her place next to the other leaders. Sapphireshard pricked up her ears, anxious to know what had happened. perhaps Tearstar was just ill, and couldn’t make it to the Gathering. She would just have to wait to find out.
Cloudpaw glanced around to see where Nettlepaw was, and heard someone call his name. She padded over to him, smiling as she saw him. The other cat seemingly wanted to talk to him, so she followed on behind, brushing her fur against his.

Ghoststar shook what Lynxstar said off without much hassle. "Of course I would wait for Tearstar." She meowed, she was not outraged by the fact that another cat thought she would start without a fellow leader, more surprised, yet not moody. However, when she scented Whitedeath instead of Tearstar, her eyes narrowed, but she avoided looking at Whitedeath with such a disgusting look, sometimes she worried herself. "Its nice to see you Whitedeath, I am guessing Tearstar will not be joining us tonight?" She asked, and tilted her head to the side. She did her best to sound friendly. She remembered how she had first been when she had just been made a leader. Maybe Whitedeath could cope better than her, yet she wanted to be safe, and not dip her paws in hot water.
Nettlepaw looked at the Zephyrclan warrior, confused, then saw the gaze he cast at Ghoststar and sighed. "It is not my place to tell you." He told the tom, then turned away to his friends with one last apologetic glance at the black and white warrior. "Hey Chasmpaw!" He meowed brightly. He had always gotten on well with the other apprentice, of a similar age to himself, yet the loyalty to thier clans always held a border between their friendship. Now that they were both older they understood. He stood close to Cloudpaw, who was beside him, it was always a comfort having her their by his side. "Thought about what your warrior name will be yet?" He asked the other apprentice with a grin.
Crypticstreak sighed, and turned away from the apprentice, he was much more mature than he looked from a distance, almost a warrior, he guessed. With a shrug he padded over to Sapphireshard and sat down next to her. He followed her gaze to see what she was looking at, then he spotted Whitedeath. "Its just one problem after another." He meowed tilting his head to Ghoststar, who looked a little tense still, and then to Whitedeath, who looked shy. At least there was no problems in Zephyrclan, which was what mattered most to him.

Whitedeath nodded, still not saying anything. She would break the news to everyone present at the same time, then Ghoststar would find out. She could sense several gazes on her; she felt a little uncomfortable at this and wondered when Ghoststar would give her news.
Cloudpaw replied, "No, not really. But my ceremony's ages away. What about you? You are almost a warrior." The tiniest hint of longing featured in her mew. She wasn't looking forward to the time when her friend would be a warrior, and she would still be an apprentice. She worried that he would forget about her, and she wanted to make him promise he wouldn't, but she was too shy to say anything right now.

The young deputy had been quiet. Go talk to someone! It was a gathering for crying out loud! Her mind scolded her. She searched the small clusters of cats, searching for her friends... Her heart ached. She did not have many friends outside of the Clan. Not many? She corrected herself. None.
f l a m i n g p a w
Flamingpaw stood proudly. Gatherings were fun for her; making new friends in other clans. Eyes darting to and fro, trying to find someone to talk to. Her paws carried her to Chasmpaw, and the two other apprentices near him. "Hi! I'm Flamingpaw!" she piped up to the apprentices, excluding Chasmpaw because, he knew her of course!
p o p p y f u r
The elder coughed quietly, her body shaking with the action brought upon her unwillingly. The crowd of young cats seemed to spoil her mood. "What I'd give to be that young again." she mewed to her best friend. Her own self.
e m e r a l d f i r e
The tom's fur prickled with excitement. A Gathering! Then, his spirits darkened. If only Rad could have come too. He missed her even if he was only out for a hunt in Clan territory. The elder, Poppyfur, was close to him. Her words made him see from a different point of view. He threw a sympathetic glance at the elder.
Cherish your life! Enjoy being young! Forgive easily! Take risks, but not the stupid ones! Have you had real fun today?

Puritypaw trembled and was nervous as she was surrounded by many massive cats from all of the other clans. She was too scared and shy to even move but didn't hide behind her mentor like she always did. People would call Puritypaw a scaredy cat and that might as well hurt her clan as well for being so weak.

The tabby tom rose his head straight up, and glanced around. "Tearstar is late?" he murmered. Stainedwater looked so serious in his life and he hasn't ever noticed it.

The sleek white warrior followed her leader as they headed to the gathering. We must be late. I hope StarClan doesn't mind if we are... she thought to herself.

"Hey Cloudpaw," Chasmpaw smiled and winked, turning back to Nettlepaw,"I'm not too concerned," he laughed, waving his tail. "I think you should be more afraid, what if Ghoststar names you Nettleface?" He chortled, looking around for anyone else he knew, then turned back to Cloudpaw. "How's training for you?" He mewed. --- Cautious and slightly afraid, Nimbuspaw, his small feminine frame almost quavering, followed his deputy -er- leader, Whitedeath, but somehow, it didn't feel right. He missed Tearstar. Well, he was no fan of her, but he wasn't a tom for change. Instead of bounding over to the group of apprentices, he scooted off by himself. --- Lynxstar glanced at Ghoststar apoligetically. "Sorry, you just seemed so urgent," She murmured softly, turning to see, surprisingly, Whitedeath leading the clan, and suddenly, crimson eyes and blood splashed across her vision. The Prochecy! Had Tearstar been massecred by the subject of it? Impossible! But.. not.. Shaking her massive skull to rid it of the thoughts, Lynxstar smiled encouragingly at the deputy, knowing she'd be fine. Several more moments passed, and the carvern was buzzing loud with the chatter of cats. Fianlly, she cleared her throat, and let out a long, howl-like yowl, silencing everyone at once, shyly, she stepped back and nodded to Ghoststar.

Ghoststar dipped her head to Lynxstar and stepped forward to make her announcement. "A few days ago." She began and cleared her throat. "Two rogues came onto my territory, and killed one of Celestialclan's warriors, Zodiacteller, may Starclan watch over him, it was clearly for personal reasons, but after a scuffle with me, they fled, saying we will be back." She meowed, and paused to take a breath. "I do not know if this only concerns Celestialclan, or if it may concern any other clan, but keep your eyes open and be alert for any scents, just in case. Vertigoclan more so as we are both just over the mountian, which is where I think they came from, the older one was strong, the other was an apprentice of some sort." She finished. Her gaze flicked across the gave, pausing on some cats and over looking others, it was better to be safe than sorry. "Apart from that, and another loner, only a lot more stupid this one, we have had no problems, I am sure those who knew Zodiacteller will wish him well as he now walks with Starclan." She finshed and took a step back.
Nettlepaw looked at his paws for a second, before being distracted by Chasmpaw and pretend cuffing him over the ear. "Better watch they don't call you Chasmtwit." He taunted playfully and greeted Flamingpaw with a dip of his head. "Nice to meet you, I'm Nettlepaw." Turning back to Cloudpaw he thought for a moment. "I trust Ghoststar to give me a good name, after all I don't think she would be very proud of having to call one of her warriors Nettleface." He meowed and cast a menacing glance over at Chasmpaw. He heard Lynxstar's yowl and looked up, Ghoststar had stepped up to speak, he had heard this story so many times, he had been there, he had been injured.

~Gryphonflight~ The Celestialclan medicine cat wove his way toward His usual spot. Looking up at Ghoststar the large tom nodded solemnly. This gathering would be eventful to say the least. His steely silver pelt shone and his deep yellow gaze drifted among the gathered cats. His ears half-flattened as a cat pushed past close to him but he shook out his fur and rose to look for the other medicine cats. ~Blazingpaw~ The firey but tiny she-cat slipped through the crowd. A thick silver pelt nearly swallowed her as she squeezed past the Celestialclan medicine cat and she growled a bit as she moved away. Seeing no cat she liked Blazingpaw sat down and drew her tounge over one paw. ~Nightfreeze~ Nightfreeze streamed into the space under the glacier behind Ghoststar. His whiskers twitched and he scented the other clans as his large black paws worked to propell him forward. His long ebony claws glimmered softly as he took a spot near the very back of the crowd.

Stunning, as if icy water had been splashed in her face, at her heart, a numbness filled her. Bretahing went slow and ragged, Lynxstar screwed her eyes shut and stumbled back a step. "The prohecy!" She whispered, a quiet scream, blood filling her eyes, she dodged forward to the front of the cliff. "I recieved a prophecy!" She yowled fiercly. "Soon after he told me about it, my medicine cat Aspenfrost was killed, struck by lightning. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but the prophecy was dire, and all I've seen since were flashes of blood in my vision, and great scarlet eyes." She whipped around to face the other leaders. "Have you heard of this?" She asked, hoping they hadn't, and it was all her going crazy.
