When you first meet Jaysmoke, you will probably believe he is an apprentice. He is short. Sometime during his tenth moon he just stopped growing. His body did eventually lose that unbalanced adolescent look, but he has not grown a bit taller. Luckily, his build is slim even by ZephyrClan standerds, so he looks like a miniature cat instead of simply squat.Personality:
His pelt also contributes to his youthful appearance. It is long, fluffy, and soft to the touch. Unlike an apprentice or kits though, he keeps it perfectly groomed, displaying his maturity as well as the pinch of undeniably vanity. It is a gray with a white spot on his chest..
His eyes are a bright green. They seem to shift between playful and happy-go-lucky, to serious and determined. It all depends on the situation.
Jaysmoke is a friendly, sociable tom. He always seems ready to mingle, to encourage his fellow warriors and pat them on the back. He does seem to have a certain magnetism about him and is the type of cat you can confide in or tell your secrets too. He is an excellent listener.Experience:
He also has a side that acts as young as he looks. He is an incurable prankster and is always ready to join in when the apprentices have a good idea. He basically sees it as harmless fun that keeps the warriors cunning up. And he is always ready for harmless fun. He is very laid back, avoids holding a grudge, and often will try to get the cats around him to relax. If you are always angry or uptight or just too serious he will take it as a personal challenge to make you smile.
His major flaw is his tendency to judge by appearances. He takes very good care of his pelt himself, and his first impression of you will dampen considerably if you don't do the same. Of course, if you show that you are worthy of his respect, with or without good grooming habits, he will forgive you. This goes the other way as well. If someone appears to be friendly, it will never occur to him to think otherwise. He is working to overcome this.
Because of his small size, he has learned to battle using his cunning, instead of charging directly into a situation. This extends into his everyday life. He tries to think things through, and is more likely to opt for a peaceful solution then a direct confrontation.
Despite his more juvenile moments, Jaysmoke takes his duties very seriously. He believes that if every cat doesn't pull their own weight, the clan will suffer. He is something of a workaholic, but he is a mellow workaholic.
Jaysmoke was the son of pair of loyal warriors who loved each other very much, but scarcely noticed they had a pair sons. He was raised mainly by the queen's who happened to be in nursery at the time. Early on, he learned not to angst over it. After all, he had a whole clan, why should he worry about distant blood kin? His brother was slower to learn this lesson and Jaykit often had to keep an eye on him. His mentor was by contrast, very attentive. She was an older warrior who is responsible for many of his current personality traits. (His neatness, his devotion to duty, his remaining playfulness ect.) Sometime during his seventh moon, his growing rate became so slow as to be nonexistent. This puzzled everyone, as his brother did exhibit the same symptoms. At first, it scared him. But as no negative side effects emerged he grew comfortable with his size and learned to cope. While he was made a warrior on schedule, his brother was held back as a punishment.Picture:

I am not a vet, I don't know why Jaysmoke suddenly stopped growing. I think it's a fluke in his genes that will never pop up in any of his offspring! Yeah!
I understand that someone else is trying out for the deputy position. If she is better, I am willing to change him to a warrior.
