SO, I got an awesome idea a few days ago that I finally decided to put into writing. Maybe there are sites like this...maybe not. I dunno. But listen!
You would probably have to use the original Clans for this (perhaps in a brand, brand new territory) just because everyone knows the different personalities of ThunderClan, WindClan, RiverClan, and ShadowClan....or maybe you would just make completely new Clans, just to throw everyone off....
WHAT IF you were to make a site where each member has to choose one Clan to be a part of...and one Clan only. And they can only make cats for that one Clan. Or they could choose the way of the loner/rogue/kittypet, and only make cats for that. They could make more than one cat, of course, but only for that Clan.
WHAT IF a member chose the Clan, say....ForestClan (to be generic ^.^). And therefore they were allowed access to the posting boards for ForestClan, but not for any other Clans. Because, think about it...a warrior in the books doesn't have access to any Clan but their own. Cats in one Clan don't usually know what's going on with cats in other Clans.
WHAT IF even the bios of cats from other Clans could not be seen by this ForestClan member, just like a Clan cat shouldn't know the history of all the cats in another Clan.
WHAT IF that ForestClan member only was allowed to access another Clan's board (let's call this other Clan MeadowClan) when their cat is on an invading mission or acting as a messenger. And even then, a separate kind of board where they cannot see the RP threads of MeadowClan cats.
WHAT IF the cats in one Clan really didn't know exactly what was going on in the other Clans, and only managed to find this out at Gatherings, or when two cats from different Clans secretly meet, etc.
AND WHAT IF this made the RPing even more realistic...because the loyalty of the members is not divided between all kinds of Clans, because this member has only one Clan to make cats for. And in that way, members would fight for their Clan...to make bios, to roleplay, etc. etc. etc.
And....WHAT IF, every so often, StarClan (that would be the admin) allowed a ForestClan cat to slip by the MeadowClan patrol and wander into the ForestClan territory....and discover the mysteries of that Clan. And tell their own Clan (if they got away >.>), which might lead to a conflict.
...What if?
I want to make a site like this, but I really don't want to make it alone. I'd call it TruClans or TrueClans or something like that. The admins would be StarClan. They could make bios for any of the Clans so that they could know what was going on, and their main cats would not be leaders or deputies...they would be medicine cats.
OR, even the admins could only choose one Clan, and only pass information through the Medicine Cat meeings. I don't know. But i am completely intrigued and excited about this idea. So...what do you guys think?
