Aquasplash sighed and buried her head in her nest. She couldn't sleep, when was the last time she had properly slept? Not since... she had first became the medicine cat, which was suprisingly not that long ago. She was only ten moon, she was only eight moons when she had became the medicine cat! She didn't know what to do now anyway, how could she get herself to sleep? It was just every time she layed her head down she was wide awake, and then halfway through the day she was so tired!
She sighed and got up. She was certain she knew why she couldn't sleep, but how could she make it go away? She surely couldn't tell him she liked him. And she had no idea if he even cared. She couldn't talk to anyone either, who was there to talk to? She didn't really have any close friends, just... cats she talked to when she saw them. Maybe she could tell.... Blizzardhowl? But maybe he wouldn't even care!
Aquasplash padded out of her den and sat at the entrance, maybe someone would need her help and take her mind off it.

There was a slight movement in the ferns as a young cat padded from the depths of the warrior's den. Flicking his ear to rid it of a stray piece of moss, he gave his ruffled white fur a few quick licks. For some reason, he had been disturbed from his dreams of hunting in the forest of CelestialClan. A sort of odd feeling, in fact. It wasn't something he normally felt, nor was it something that could be touched. A sort of longing...impatient, almost. He had a feeling something wasn't being told in the camp, and he wished to know what it was. Blinking in the moonlight, Blizzardhowl tilted his head as he saw a white-furred shape in the clearing. Her pelt carried the scents of herbs, her eyes a knowledge that he would never know. Of course, it was Aquasplash, his sister. Perhaps she could tell him about this strange feeling. As he padded toward her, his jaws parting to call out, he slowed. His paws stopped moving and he stood there for a moment, bewildered. Why was she up anyway, at this time of night? Had something happened? Starting up again, the warrior headed for his sister, brow scrunched up in worry and his eyes narrowed. "Aquasplash! Is everything all right?" He asked anxiously.

Aquasplash stared into the tops of some trees across the clearing, the dark green faded gently into the dark blue of the sky. It was hard to tell where the tree stopped and the sky began. It didn't help the clouds drifted across the sky, covering silverpelt. She would feel comforted underneather her ancestors but no, they just never showed when she wanted them there. Why didn't the stupid clouds just move? Make the world a better place! Come on!
She jumped when she heard someones voice, nearly falling into her tunnel. If the clouds hadn't been there and the moon was out, the moonstones would have been lit up and she would have seen it! Or maybe she was just getting parinoid. She looked at the cat who had made her jump, how could she have not seen him? Blizzardhowls white pelt shone as bright as hers in the darkness.
"Hello Blizzardhowl," She said, "Everythings fine, well, maybe not but its okay, I... suppose," Aquasplash couldn't find the right thing she could say. He was her brother but she couldn't really say, "Oh theres a tom that I really like," And such. Anyway she would probably feel like this forever, like she could ever like him like that... she was a medicine cat and it was against the warrior code. How could she go against it? She would be hipicritical, she had accused Vividstar and Perilstar already about breaking that.

As Blizzardhowl approached, he saw Aquasplash gazing upawards. Perhaps she was looking for answers in the ranks of StarClan? He knew she didn't just merely star gaze like others. This was just one other power that he would never have. Sitting down beside the white medicine cat, he gently touched his nose to her shoulder. For some reason, she felt tense, her muscles taunt beneath his touch. Somewhat bewildered he drew back, staring at her with a frown. Her words, jumbled as if she couldn't speak right, seemed to prove that something was off in her world. "Aquasplash, what's wrong?" He muttered softly. "You can tell me."

Aquasplash looked at Blizzardhowl for a moment, debating with herself whether to tell him or now. Would he just pester her until she told him? She didn't really know! What would he say to her, would he be unhappy? She couldn't really imagine him being anything else than unhappy, angry... ashamed? She shouldn't even be thinking like that anyway, she was stupid. Stupid, stupid Aquasplash.
She squirmed a little and looked at the floor. She would have to tell him though, would he care if she didn't tell him who it was. It may make it a little easier. Oh starclan, she felt like an apprentice, or a kit. She was embarassed to say this to her own brother! She must look like a total idiot.
"Please don't say this to anyone else!" She said urgently, lowering her voice a little, so if anyone came out of another den they wouldn't hear. "But, I know this isn't allowed or anything, and don't worry I won't say anything to them. But there is someone who I... really like. Umm... this tom..."

What?! Blizzardhowl thought, eyes widening with surprise. His sister liked someone? But..But she was the medicine cat! It was against the warrior code in so many ways! Aquasplash knew the code like the back of her paw. Why in the name of StarClan would she do this?! Then, as he started to think, Blizzardhowl calmed down. His fur flattened, and his eyes returned to their normal size. Perhaps...perhaps it was just a feeling. Nothing serious at all. It wouldn't turn into a mate or anything, which would really be breaking the code. Still, he would have to watch her, make sure she didn't talk to this tom too much. Blinking, he realized that she hadn't given him a name. Looking back to her, he smiled, leaning down closer. Hopefully she would speak his name and set his plan in motion. Without a name he would stumble around in the dark, being paranoid if she ever talked to any tom besides him. That, he was sure, would only make him look crazy to the entire clan and over-protective, which he didn't want be known as. "Who is it?" He whispered, feeling like a gossiping apprentice once more.

Aquasplash closed her eyes as she saw Blizzardhowls fur bristle. She knew this would happen! He was probably thinking that she was a idiot or something now. Why did she tell him, she could have just kept it a secret. She would still feel terrible but at least her brother would still like her. She felt like curling up in her den and not coming out, maybe that would be the best thing to do.
She felt better though, when she saw his fur flatten. he wasn't angry with her? That was great! He knew that she wouldn't do anything! She was so glad he understood. Didn't he like some she-cats? Though it wasn't the same for him was it, he was allowed to love someone. She couldn't call hers loving though could she, more like a crush.
"You're okay will it?" She asked hesitantly, then she brightened a little. "Promise you wont say anything? Its... Brittlenimbus."

Blizzardhowl was taken back by the words and the name. Blinking, he thought about the tabby and white tom that was a bit spacey at times. Yes, a good warrior, yet still easily distracted sometimes. Blizzardhowl didn't speak to him much, though he remembered the kindly tom giving him advice on a hunting patrol when he was still Blizzardpaw. Had the circumstances been different, perhaps this could turn into something. Nonetheless, the tom knew with a heavy heart that his sister, even if it were just a crush, would never be able to act on it. The warrior code forbade it, and both of them followed it with no paw going off track. Besides, Aquasplash loved being a medicine cat more than anything. She wouldn't do anything stupid to ruin it, that he was sure of. Flicking his tail, he gave her a friendly nudge. "I'm fine with it, as long as nothing comes of it. Brittlenimbus eh? Nice tom." He meowed, being careful not to express any fears he might have. He didn't want Aquasplash to get mad at him.
