SIV!
-.Surrounded. Trapped. There was no backing out of this as she had constantly been reminding herself since the beginning. As the three warriors of Tempestclan were around her, and a smaller apprentice behind a warrior, Siv knew she was to be at the camp within time. Moving along the land was fairly easy. Her weakness showed ever so slightly though it wasn't that big of a deal. Her muscles kept her up with the harsh pace of the warriors. Her belly swayed side-to-side with each stride she took. The faster they moved, the quicker they would be there and she could finally rest. The traveling of days on end had quickly wore the she-cat out. And with a belly full of kits it took that much more of a toll on her.
Her rusty colored coat was struck by a stream of sunlight as it tried to shine down through the thick pine trees. The pungent smell of the group of cats was becoming heavier and soon she realized that they were near camp. Entering she found the large tabby move forward in the group. He was not that one who had addressed her, but seemed to be ready to take charge. Moving closer to an enclosed area she realized it was a den and she would soon be put under the scrutiny of the leader.

ooc// hope you don't mind that I assumed Mottledscar talked to him, but from your post it sounded like he was heading to Voidy's den.
Voidstar sat, settled neatly in his dean. He lay on his belly with his paws folded beneath him, each limb hidden by his ragged belly fur and the mane that formed a collar around his neck. He started around him at the rounded walls that had been personalized by his claws. Laying there he couldn't seem to stop himself from fading in and out of consciousness as the previous evening had gone on only too late with his close friend Tigerspark. The need to sleep was pushing down on him, trying to surround him and enclose him. But he wouldn't let it. He never knew when he could be needed by his clan, although now that he had chosen a new deputy they could always go to Dreamfeather, although he was still slightly weary of his choice of a she-cat. Still, until she let him down there was no reason for him to doubt her. He really had to start liking she-cat more, but it was true that they were often had less strength than tom cats but on the other hand he had come to discover they could have more intelligence than tom cats could, when they weren't pre-occupied with gossiping that was.
Right on queue Mottledscar addressed him from outside the entrance to his den. At first he wasn't listening properly, simply distracted by the scent of the tom and his thought but he quickly came too when he realized the words that came from his former deputies mouth. A loner? In his camp? Oh hell no. Leaping to his paws his ears grazed the top of his den as he narrowly missed braining himself on the old bark. Slipping swiftly out of the den with an accurate leap he composed himself properly before snaking down through the twisted wooden paths of his camp and finding the loner surrounded by a patrol. Clearing his throat he flicked his tail, signaling the patrol to back off slightly as he prowled towards the red hued cat, stopping just short of a fox-length away. "I am Voidstar, the leader of Tempestclan, and the one in charge of the territory you have trespassed on." He began, with narrowed green eyes. "State your purpose here." He concluded, watching the female cat with guarded but expectant eyes. Meanwhile he began to size her up. She was lithe, aside from a large lump protruding from her belly. His eyes narrowed at this, now he was no medicine cat but he had a pretty good guess that a loner in her current state wouldn't be round from over eating.

SIV!
-.The name hit her much like a large animal would. Voidstar. Voidstar? Voidstar...she was after a Void...but it was never mentioned the so called name would change into a Voidstar. A small part of her wanted to smirk, however she quickly kept it inside of her as her tail flicked absentmindedly. Siv had found whom she was looking for...and he just happened to be the leader of this clan. What a surprise Shard would be in for...oh what a surprise indeed. Storing the information she quickly absorbed the rest of what he had to say. Anything that came out of this tom's mouth was now top priority as the plan began to turn its rusty gears up another notch on the speed factor. She now was to pay attention to him and him only. Though the other cats of his clan were of importance. If she could befriend any of them, perhaps they'd release information and perhaps they could push her further up the chart...as long as she picked the right ones.
The lithe femme let her amber eyes rest on him, she showed no fear and no hostility. Letting a neutral state take over her body, Siv took in the next string of words. She had already given her story once, and to give it again was easy. It was a well rehearsed story...in fact her story was true...just missing a few key details. His eyes moved to her belly and she found herself scrutinizing his every move. "The plan was to pass through. " She mused, watching him as eased herself into a sitting position. Her muscled ached, screaming at her as her belly stirred with the kits inside. "As you can see I didn't exactly make it...I don't control what happens on the inside of this body." Her voice was short, though she knew better than to be pushy and start vociferating. She knew how to keep herself in tact...and that was exactly why she was here...

One thing he couldn't avoid admitting to himself was that the female did look like she needed help. Aside from the round belly the corners of her eyes looked slightly worn and her pelt as though it had not been groomed for a moon. Then again why she had come here he would have no idea, she didn't actually expect to receive help from Tempestclan? Firstly, most of the forest seemed to know that they were the least welcoming and most unforgiving clan and no loner had come near their territory in many, many moons. Secondly, the shame it would bring upon Tempestclan to admit a loner into their care. His clan should be busy caring for themselves not hunting for a pregnant she-cat and wasting valuable herbs on her. Thirdly, he had a reputation to keep up for his clan and he wouldn't allow any of the others that lived under Starclan's watchful eye to suspect Tempestclan of being soft or even mildly compassionate towards loners and other cats who didn't have a place in the word as he did. Then again there was one small thing that he already knew might suffice in exchange for them giving her shelter but he tried to quickly shake the thought from his head and forced it to disappear almost as quickly as it had come to him. Yes, he was evil but surely that had to be out of the question?
On the other hand the she-cat had been very blunt with him and therefore he would return her kind favor. After all, he was infamous for playing the fool every now and again. Truth be told he could tell what words were forming on the female's tongue, she would tell him her name and then ask for shelter and everyone would be happy. As if. As far as he was concerned he didn't want to hear the she-cats name because if he did allow her to stay she would not be keeping that name so therefore he would have no need to have any knowledge of it. The black tom also knew she longed for a place to rest her head but that wasn't going to happen unless she started showing a bit more respect. Rolling his eyes, bored, he glanced over his shoulder casting a couple of his warriors a look of amusement before settling yet again on her red pelt. "Dear oh dear, and let me guess, your plan didn't go very accordingly? Oh what a shame." He replied in a slightly mocking tone although it was almost passable for genuine. Maybe she would then realize how little he cared unless she had been born mentally retarded. "And your point is?" He added, his subtle green eyes dull with boredom. Stretching his maw out wide the tom yawned while taking this opportunity to show off his sharp and very capable fangs before closing his maw and attempting to arrange his features to make him appear interested.

SIV!
Insanity had gotten her here. Insanity was always her fall back. A world inside of a world inside of a world stuffed inside of her overflowing cranium. Siv found herself wanted to fall to the ground and writhe around as if she was in pain. Frustration overwhelmed her as she stood in front of the clan. The urge to rake her claws across each and every throat, the need to sink her fangs into the warm throats of the cats from Tempestclan. The pleasurable sensation of warm blood running from her own body, and across it. She needed to hold herself together. Chain down the beast that was quickly taking over her body. It banged on the doors to enter the outside world. Taking a deep breath the sounds of Voidstar speaking caught her ears and the beast's attention was now focused on the ebony leader. Oh no no no. Not him, not now my dear. Her heart beat quickly as she tried to calm what wanted out. The leader's words hit her and she found her fur wanting to bristle up.
Dont you screw this up Siv. The voice of Shard hit her and she found herself instantly in charge of the situation once again. The beast had been silenced, put back into its place deep within her darkened soul. "I'm sorry..." She choked out, her eyes caught on him as she tried to keep the sarcasm from leaking out with her words... "I'm the one in the weakened state. Your clan could easily take me and the world would not know I existed. I need a residence, and I'm standing on your lands. We could work out some agreement perhaps...if you don't want me here I'll leave. Escort me to the boundary and perhaps they'll let myself and my kits in." Her voice was calm, smooth. She had done what moments before she would of never be able to accomplish. The thirst for blood was gone for now...and she was almost in, or so she hoped.

A narrowed gaze settled on the she-cat. She had some nerve to come here, stand of his territory and ask him such a question. Yet as long as she followed by his conditions then there would be little reason for him not to let her in. However, he had to be clever enough to make sure that none of the other clans discovered that he had been in the slightest bit sympathetic. Then again, if he was going to do what he hoped their would be no softness about it and the other clans would most likely fear him even more. So, he would lie to them to begin with, then should they question him he will offer them the truth and they could make of that what they wanted. He could just hear their thoughts now, they would think that he was a disgrace to the warrior code but he knew that code inside out and nowhere in the code did it state that he wasn't allowed to ask a loner to make some compromises for her well being. The tom prowled forward in one silky movement and snarled at the she-cat quietly. "If I do let you join us for a short period of time then you shall no longer go by your current loner name, that would be utterly disgraceful to Tempestclan. You would take the name Adderdance whether you like it or not and you would stay in camp, guarded by one of my cats at all times since I have no reason to trust you and lastly..." He hissed trailing off as his eyes narrowed.
Looking the she-cat in the eye he searched her wide, staring eyes for any signs of emotion but they were mostly blank. It was unfortunate for her they wouldn't remain that way for long. "Lastly, I am not giving you this protection for free as you should realize the compromise this will cause for my clan." He added taking a moment to pause yet again. He knew what he wanted, and for once that wasn't a she-cat, he had no interest in the female that sat before them, his only current interest was in expanding. "I would like it if your kits were to be raised and brought up in my clan, and remain in my clan. After all it is only practical, the last thing a loner like you wants is to have kits to look after when your lifestyle is so...unsettled." He told her in a stern voice. The way he worded this made him appear some what friendly but he was the opposite. The only reason he wanted the kits was to make his clan grow even larger and quite honestly he didn't want to have to offer the she-cat shelter at all. Although if she insisted then that would be her price. He watched her with careful, calculating eyes and waited for her reply, the order to have her escorted form camp on the tip of his tongue.

S I V!
-.Sighing the she-cat watched him carefully. She didn't question the words she heard. In fact she didn't find the need to question his words since she was in his clan and now she had no way of getting out. She had promised Shard she would get here and now she had to stay here. That would mean giving into his rules, following what he said and keeping herself in a neutral state. A different name? Answering it would be okay...though inside she was always and would stay Siv. She would never let that name slip away from her. Adderdance... The name hit her mind as something she didn't know how to comprehend. She was becoming a clan cat....a type that she had learned to kill. Being guarded she could handle...of course that would be a rule set down. The last hit her like a bullet. Though she felt no sadness from it. While the kits were hers, Shard would be the one who would have problems with it...not her. It was his blood she was carrying after all. Speaking of Shard she eyed the tom in front of her, he reminded her of him and instantly she wished to be back in Delirium. But her mission was far from finished. "Fine..." She spoke quietly, biting her tongue.

Should he have asked such a thing of the she-cat? It did seem a little cruel and heartless, even if there was nothing in the warrior code to strictly suggest that it was something he shouldn't do. On the other hand, he had every right to ask whatever he wanted from a cat who wished protection from his clan. If you thought about it logically she clearly had nothing else to offer his clan in return for her safety and Voidstar was not about to let her take up the nursery and his prey in return for nothing. He wasn't that kind.
His dark ears twitched as one word escaped from the she-cats maw. That one word that sealed their deal and made both of them happy. Well, she may not have been happy about it but she hadn't said no so therefore she clearly understood compromise and that her safety was more important to her than keeping her kits. Silly little loners getting knocked up. "Welcome to Tempestclan, Adderdance." He said sarcastically and tilted his head to one of the openings in the bark of the great abandoned tree he called camp. "That is the nursery and you shall sleep there, if you have any issues speak to the warrior that will be guarding you, if you have any issues with them...well that's not my problem. Someone will bring a nest for you as well as prey." He growled before giving instructions to one of his warriors. He would tell Dreamfeather of their new company and she would deal with rotating whoever was guarding her.

longshadowHe had been looking at the sky when the black tom had approached him. What he was thinking about he couldn't remember, but he could recall his leader's exact words. His instructions; to guard the rogue who was now apart of their clan. When the hell did this happen he wasn't sure, but like cold water thrown on him he had no choice but to accept this new task. At first he thought Voidstar had just done it on purpose to burden him with the last assignment he would want to take on in the world, (He wouldn't put it past the black cat.) but walking over to the Nursery now he started to see the real reason. It was known he wasn't friendly. Usually highly irritable and agressive though sly and intelligent at the same time, he was the last cat in camp to care or feel sorry for the pregnate parasite they now harbored, and would be dead before he let her step a place out of line. If Voidstar had put him as guard on purpose, he was a smart fellow, Longshadow would give him that.
Jaws stretching wide in a yawn, he casually glanced at the structure before him. Protected, no easy way in. That also meant no easy way out. Sitting beside the entrance, the lanky tom gave a cold green stare to the new queen. He wasn't sure of her name, or if Voidstar had even mentioned it. He internally shrugged. Not my problem. Flexing his claws, he was intent on sitting like a stone the rest of this wretched watch and having to do as little as possible. He didn't feel like it would take much for him to snap off at someone, which wasn't all that good, but it was also normal. He let his gaze slip to her again, wondering why she had to come to Tempestclan. They lived by the two-legs, but every two-buck-tim out there had better not consider them a choice of refuge. There was something about her Longshadow decided he didn't like, though he wasn't sure what. He didn't trust any cat, that was the problem. Strangers had extra strikes against them in his book. Narrowing his eyes, he turned away his focus, though ears slightly swiveled in her direction.

* DREAMFEATHER
So many things these eyes have seen, People I've met and places I've been
She padded away from Voidstar, her ice blue gaze remaining expressionless. Merely flowing over the camp, taking in things as they were and making note of who was goofing off and who was not present in the camp. Dreamfeather had orders from the leader himself, in all of his black majesty with his curt tone and keen yellow lights, to organize the cats that would guard the newcomer. He had already sent Longshadow to guard, though Dreamfeather sensed that there was more to this she-cat than was yet known, and had resolved to keep at least two strong warriors guarding her at all times. Many cats were out in patrols, and, as she was a firm believer that each cat pull their fair share of work, Dreamfeather volunteered herself to take up the second space. Tireless, she was, and any cat would call her. Her hobbies, if asked, would have counted for guarding camp and training apprentices; her responsibilities were sending out patrols, which translated to leading and taking part in patrols of all kinds, at any time, from dawn to dusk. Though she was philosophical, seemingly always pondering, always silently musing, she had been described as cold politely by her clanmates, for she was very unwilling to share her thoughts. She was untrusting, even among her own clanmates, cautious never to go too far, to smile too warmly, to let them see behind her stone cold gaze.
The deputy was young, and it was easy to see by the sheen of her silver coat and the vivid light of her azure gaze. Her step was never dawdling, her tail waving at times in silent greeting. But she had seen a good deal in her thirty four moons; death, and birth, and suffering and longing and lust. She had lost a mother, and a father, and a brother, and now she had few friends, tactfully avoiding warmth among those that she cared greatly for. Her clan was her family, and she was rich in the wealth of this, so much that she felt she needed nothing more. She had achieved the rank of deputy, and it was no matter whether she lived to become a great leader, in Voidstar's passing, or whether she died before she ever saw nine lives- she would die honorably, on the battlefield. But what she would not do was die guarding a female in the nursery, Dreamfeather reminded herself as she caught sight of Longshadow. The coldness of feeling that he held, his rigid position, gave her strength to sit just as still and ready, like a trap ready to spring shut with teeth and claws. If there was more to the loner- which undoubtedly there was, the deputy could feel that- she would not let her harm a hair on any of her clan member's pelts.
Dreamfeather tipped her head faintly to Longshadow. "We two can guard until the border patrol that I've sent out returns, and assures Voidstar that our borders are safe from attack. Then two fresh warriors can take over." She informed him quietly, with little tone. She had already settled to the other side of the entrance, and curled her tail around her paws, tense. longshadowHis clover green gaze was rigid as he, at a painfully slow speed, swept it across the camp to have only Dreamfeather reflect in it's depths. He had never been sure about this one. She was, at a discomforting level, much like him. Cold, distant. She just had more drive than he did, and didn't have the same emotional flaws (as far as he knew) as himself. The ones that kept him at bay from aspiring to something great. Maybe if they weren't so god damn isolated they could have been....friends. Hahahaha! Yeah right.
He unfairly dispised her for having what he didn't. Power. When she came closer, he barely acknowleged her simple greeting with a flick of his ear. "Let's just get it over with." He growled, staring blindly forward. Border patrol. He snuffed in his head, tolerance levels dangerously low. He suddenly twitched, breaking away from his statue form to look at the she-cat. "What do you think of her?" He murmured lowly, intense stare searching for her own. That feeling of immediate dislike he felt towards the parasite had triggered a curiosity in him that hadn't gone unnoticed by his concious. He needed input.

* DREAMFEATHER
So many things these eyes have seen, People I've met and places I've been
Total isolation. Winter storm. Dreamfeather was fairly lost in her thoughts, gazing out over the clearing and watching the cats go about their business. She would have liked to be apart of that, the mindless working, hunting and protecting the clan. She was here instead, with this chilly tom, guarding them from something that she felt could be a danger, and yet could put no words to her thoughts. She began to feel taken aback, thinking that perhaps she would be better needed out in the forest, patrolling or hunting- but her paws were heavy from many earlier patrols and the driven she-cat felt content to sit here in an alert but dulled state. Thinking about rumors she had heard about camp, and about Voidstar, and how she would put a stop to them- with words or with violence.
Dreamfeather was not a killing machine, but she would do what she had to for Tempestclan.
Her ears twitched faintly as he responded with his gruff tone, which didn't seem to carry too much respect at all. Dreamfeather didn't expect any, and felt no aggression toward Longshadow for it, knowing he had always been a frigid cat. Difficult to like, perhaps unlike herself. She was startled when he spoke again, asked her opinion quietly. Her tail twitched in a short spasm, her eyes traced the ground about her silver paws. Then she tipped her ivory maw upward toward him, eyes returning to his to find that they searched her emotions avidly. "Something about it all bothers me." The deputy responded finally, with a soft, bothered sigh. She would not admit that it felt as though she was out of the loop, as if Voidstar was not telling her something- there was no need to voice such doubts to anyone but Voidstar himself, lest Dreamfeather cast a bad light on him, and caused chaos among the cats. longshadow Longshadow wasn't the kind of cat to study others, not unless he wanted something form them in some way. Right now he wasn't wanting anything from Dreamfeather except her position - and that he would never get even if he killed her. So catching himself endulged in tracking her every move, the tone of voice she used, analyzing her very scent, it caught him so off guard he had to turn away before she could see the near-baffled expression on his face. Collective, cool. He got it back as fast as he had turned. He stayed this way, unable to see her, for reasons of caution. He could care less about what she thought of him, but he was afraid of what his sub-concious might he planning instead. He was strange like that - he admitted it to even himself.
"I find it coincidence." His flat tone lacked any of the previous hostility but didn't contain a mouse-tail of friendliness. The tip of his long, black tail flicked as he thought. "Voidstar was birthed much the same way, yes?" He wanted to see if she would catch on, but he figured saying it straight out would make a clean cut. "His mother was accepted into the clan, round with kits much the same way this...parasite is. I wonder if it has any pull on him." He wasn't leading anywhere, as much as it might have sounded. Voidstar was a good leader considering the clan, though that didn't make Longshadow like him. If he suddenly died, all chaos wouldn't break loose like some of the more simple minded clan cats thought. There would be sadness but then Dreamfeather would take his place. If she died the same thing would happen. The entire world did not depend on one cat.
Retreating back to the current topic of this miracle conversation, he once more took up his statue pose.

* DREAMFEATHER
So many things these eyes have seen, People I've met and places I've been
She flicked one ear to the side, barely caught the slight ruffle of his fur. Dreamfeather, unlike the tom, was a keen observer. Always on the outside looking in- without a family, learning the way one was built- without friends, learning the way friendships began. Looking into the concern and the pride and the ambition of those around her. Her blue gaze was light, brushing over Longshadow with a gentleness to it that was graceful as evening light, brushing here and there for a detail, catching on certain feelings. Like a careful sleuth, discovering clues with every word spoken. She had never much spoken to him before; but she was picking up on things now that they were close enough to.
I wonder if it has any pull on him.
And that was when the careful excavator turned rigid, all sharp edges. Her icy gaze hardened, her fur prickled at the base of her neck. It was not just that he had spoken almost contemptuously of the leader and his birth- it was that he had spoken her very same doubts and she was angry that she could doubt Voidstar. A soft growl rumbled at the very back of her throat, listless as a snake. Restless. But her temper was reigned in and the bengal's voice remained steady and soft. "It is no matter whether it affects him or not. Voidstar feels nothing but suspicion for outsiders. His loyalty lays with Tempestclan, and it will until his last life bleeds out." [/blockquote]

longshadowLongshadow could feel her chance of mood like the change of seasons. It made him sneer. What was it that triggered this sudden change? That she had such deep loyalty to the tom who called her deputy that she couldn't think about such possibilites, or something else? He didn't reply for a few long moments. The time seemed to drag by as he played with what he was going to say next. Really he wanted to accuse her. She wasn't saying what she thought, she was speaking what was instilled in every deputy there ever was. He stopped his flicking tail, the motion becoming pointless and annoying. "Obviously, since he has us out here." He muttered, exhaling rather loudly. "What makes your loyalty so defined? Do you think for a second he would hesitate to think such things of you?" His voice was tight, hard. "He demoted one deputy, I'm sure has he even had suspicions you would be nothing more than a disappointment to him."
He was letting this go too long, but he could feel the tension he was creating. He liked it, and he was to selfish to now hear her answers. "But Tempestclan would never forget how much you've given them, us. He wouldn't do such a thing, even if he has done it before. Voidstar is fair, loyal, brave and strong. He knows what he is doing when all others don't. It makes it hard to read, to trust him." He was silent, gazing blankly at nothing. "But for some reason we still all do." As he finished he barely nodded, nothing more than a slight sway of his head.
