Foxdream's long, lanky body is swathed in medium-length, rusty red fur. A splash of creamy white stretches across his chest and runs down his belly, and his hind left paw appears to be dipped in white paint. His tail is fluffy and billowy, and his ears are large...a bit too large for his head. A single scar across his left shoulder is the only serious wound he has, while the rest of his pelt is smooth and well-groomed.

Deep amber eyes gaze from Foxdream's red face...eyes that are never narrowed, but always wide and welcoming.

Foxdream is not a hard cat to figure out. Most of the time, his temperament matches his eyes: deep, warm, welcoming, and caring. If he so much as senses a problem with a cat, be it physical or emotional, he will set about to fix it. He cannot stand to hear or see a cat in pain, and no order, no matter how firm, will keep him from coming to that cat's aid. In fact, he has no problem with ignoring his orders and helping the cat, even if it is a loner or rogue (which has lead to many issues for him in the past). In Foxdream's opinion, it is StarClan's will that he should heal all cats, not just the cats of his own Clan.

As for his patience level, Foxdream is a pretty patient cat. Kits can crawl all over him and tug at his tail all day, and on most day he won't so much as snap at them. He gets annoyed when a cat exaggerates its pain, and is perfectly fine with calling a full-grown warrior a "mewling newborn", if he feels the cat is just seeking attention. He does not want to hear about the "glories of battle" unless it's going to help him heal the cat, and, frankly, Foxdream thinks fighting is ridiculous (and he doesn't try to hide it). Anyway, Foxdream doesn't mind it when cats criticize him. What's the opinion of a mortal Clan cat compared to the opinions of the great ancestors he shares his dreams with? So, as long as the insulter doesn't interrupt his work, he'll turn the other cheek.

As I said, Foxdream's actions usually reflect his eyes. This is not always so. Foxdream is incredibly mild when it comes to his patients, but when it comes to playing "ambassador" for StarClan, he is very serious and very firm....and incredibly lacking in opinion. He will give his Clan the exact, complete message, and he will not let his own personal opinions sway him to downplay or exaggerate anything (he prides himself in that). But...then again, he doesn't really seem to have personal opinions on the matter. He sees himself simply as the one to convey the message, and only occasionally will he have an opinion that draws him to either side of an argument. This can be very frustrating, and if he is pressed, Foxdream usually does come up with an opinion, but only occasionally is he completely convinced of a certain path...and when he is, he is as stubborn as a badger.

Foxdream didn't always want to be a medicine cat. As a kit, he always dreamed of being the best warrior of ZephyrClan. But, as he grew up and went through a few moons of training, he encountered his first battle...and saw, for the first time, the pain that he had to inflict on other warriors. Call him a coward if you wish, but Foxpaw couldn't take it. During every battle he fought in, he was so preoccupied with the cries of pain and anger that he couldn't fight well.

And so, one day, he received a deep scar across his shoulder, and was stuck in the medicine cat's den for many days. It was then that he got to see the med. cat in action, and he couldn't stand one more day without telling the leader that he wanted to change...he wanted to be a medicine cat apprentice. And change he did, and these moons of training were more enjoyable to him than any warrior training had ever been. He became knowledgeable, and received the name Foxdream when he was 18 moons old. Now, as full-blown medicine cat, he couldn't imagine a different way of life.
